When I first bought this keyboard, I was thinking it was gonna be kinda bad because I read all the reviews on what people wrote about the keyboards light being blue and the light not going through the keys, but when I got it and I tried it out, this is probably the best keyboard I've ever used, i've used off-brand gaming keyboards before, but this is the best one I've ever purchased.

For 30 bucks, it doesn't get much better than this. The switches aren't true mechanical switches, but they feel fast enough for gaming and comfortable enough to type on. It's not going to take down keyboards that are $200, but it's a really good value at such a low price.

Can't do much better for $30

This is a great gaming keyboard, especially for young kids. My son is 10 and loves this keyboard. It's fairly heavy so it stays in place. The keys have a good feel for him during his Minecraft expeditions, and most importantly, he loves the blue light. If you're looking for a gaming keyboard for a younger kid, this one will fit the bill.

Delights the young gamer!

For the love of god, do not install the software. There is no need. The only thing you might want to know the key near the bottom right that has the little 'Steelseries' logo found above the numpad, is the equivalent to the "Function/FN" key. 

FN   F5 = Lower Brightness
FN   F6 = Higher Brightness

The rest, all music and media, from rewind/back, pause/play, forward/skip, volume mute, lower, and increase.

Picked this keyboard up for work and casual gaming on the weekends. I needed a keyboard for my home setup and this does the job perfectly and fits within my budget. Dont be fooled by the negative comments on the lights!!! You can adjust the brightness in the steel series engine to whatever youd like it to be. It takes only a few minutes to adjust things and I can read each key just fine. Overall its a great keyboard for all my needs. Its nice and sturdy and affordable. I would definitely recommend picking one up.

This is a great gaming keyboard. 
Keys are really nice and the overall weight of the keyboard is nice too

I generally don't recommend, because I don't know what others want. I have one problem with it, and that is that the keys seem narrow. The lighting is great, so I can see the keys fine. One problem should balance out the other.

Keys too far apart, but it's good

This keyboard is doing what it says, and I've had no problems. the quality  feels good, as in the materials and design seem to have been thought out well for it to last through several redeployments. 
I am not happy that the lighted features do not provide any value when in dark areas. The keys are not illuminated by light. They are painted white and not indended for this. It kind of threw me off, however,  because the lights are apparently for appearance. Yes, it's a pretty blue light, but it does not serve any real purpose for me. I've decided I will keep it because it works well. I found my mechanical keyboard with night lighted keys for that purpose elsewhere.

Bought this for my son, he liked the mimic of the mechanical keyboard but preferred the actual mechanic keyboard. It's very durable and heavy, well built and the keys feel nice and smooth

It's not quiet. My son can hear me typing on this from his closed door bedroom. I use it for work so 9-10 hours of clacking is annoying. Otherwise, it's a great keyboard.

Who would invent a backlit keyboard where the light blinds you because it's coming from between the keys. The letters remain unlit.
