I received my Military Marine 8x30 approximately 2 weeks ago. I was able to play a little but last weekend I was on a camping trip with my son and I brought them with me. So glad I did, I was able to enjoy super clear images of various wildlife around the campsite.

I've known about Steiner for years.  Finally got a pair of 8x30 marine.  Went to Fleet Week in NYC last year for the 1st time.  I was standing on the NY side of the Hudson River and I could read mailbox numbers on the Jersey side!  1 mile away.  Going to Grand Canyon soon.  Can't wait to use them there!  German technology cannot be touched!

Former C.I.A. Endorses Steiner Optics.

We bought the 8X30 military/Marine 10 years ago for our ranch and nature viewing.  They are still going strong and get used almost daily year round.  These binoculars get carried around on a Quad as we check cattle over open rangeland, which can be quite rough.  The optics are still in perfect shape.  We decided to get another 8X30 to have if we go on vacation while our family has the 10 year old set to use on the ranch.  Other people have tried them and bought their own 8X30.

I had wanted a set of Steiner binos since 1984 when I saw my first pair of Military-Marines in the storefront window in Aschaffenburg, Germany. I had been thinking about getting one recently after seeing one recently.
I appreciate the rubber armor and the durability that comes with that. The optics are phenomenal with crystal clarity. The movement is smooth like butter on the center axis hinge and when I set my diopter. The instructions are informative on how to set up the diopters for the user. I will enjoy this for many many years!

Long time admirer, first time buyer.

I've owned my binoculars for a while and have always loved them. I just recently sent them in to be looked at because the lens wasn't focusing. I got them back in about a week and they were like new again with no additional charge to me. Really great service and warranty and won't ever buy a different brand of optics!

Great customer service

After using and admiring the Steiner binos in the US Army; I wanted a pair of my own.  Hunting Antelope and Mule Deer, and borrowing my buddies to spot game reminded me how much I wanted a set, and decided to buy a pair of my own.  I opted for the Military-Marine 8x30 model because it was a good compromise between power, brightness and portability.  I'm very happy with my choice.  They will be a constant companion for camping, hunting and fishing.  My friends and family that check them; out are all impressed with the brightness and clarity.  
Favorite feature is the "set it and forget it" focus.  Thank you Steiner!

Long Overdue

Bought the Steiner binoculars after reading many reviews on binoculars.  Steiner definitely leads the pack.  Compact, rugged, extremely clear optics.  We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.  Thanks to Steiner for manufacturing

These binoculars have been fantastic so far! Obviously I have not had them for long so I can't really speak to durability but they appear to be very well made and quite robust. The clarity of vision even while using them at dusk was impressive. I especially love the autofocus. There is a nice wide field of view for scanning landscapes and checking out the moon has been really cool. It's not a telescope view for sure but you can easily can and identify what you're looking for and it's not so zoomed in that finding our objective is difficult. I would say they are medium/small in size and the carrying case and protective straps and lens covers are all very nice.

I am happy with this purchase and would recommend!

I've had these bino's for a few months now, using them for both hunting and boating.
I love the compact size and overall quality of them.
However one day of light rain fogged up one side of the bino. 
I've sent them back for repair, hopefully I don't have anymore issues with them after this because before they fogged up they were great.

Good, only because of the warranty.

Having used Steiners in the military for years and never knew of a problem, I purchased a set of 8x30 more than a year ago for use at our cabin, and I would rate this set as a +5.  Recently purchased a set for myself and right out of the box they had a major problem.  The left lens was difficult to adjust and made grinding noise as if gears or splines were stripped.  No doubt quality control inspections are being done to previous standards.
