I BOUGHT THIS TOY FOR MY GRANDSON, A 3-YEAR OLD WHO LIKES TO BARBECUE WHEN HIS FATHER DOES IT. HE LOVED THE TOY AND SOMETIMES BRING IT INTO THE HOUSE TO PLAY WITH IT. IT'S STURDY, WELL BUILT, AND HAS AN ADEQUATE SIZE FOR A 3-YEAR OLD. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE.

GREAT TOY FOR A 3-YEAR OLD BOY.

walmart.com

We purchased step 2 grill in 1997 for our daughter and just purchased the newest version for our grandson in 2025. Love it!!! Our grandson loved playing with this just like his mom in 1997. Highly Recommend!!!!

Tradition hams down

step2.com

Found on the side of the road. Took it home cleaned it up and it works as good as new. Grandbaby would not stop playing with it. There was a meal for everyone. I honesty wouldn't of paid the original price for this but it is a cute toy and fun to play with. I did have to reiterate that on a real grill we don't touch the steam/smoke that come off of it. Otherwise this is a great toy and addition to all the other step 2 toys we have recycled. Pictures show our own added extra items. Not all items are step 2 they are random toys to play with.

Great little addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After just two weeks of play, the Step2 Sizzle & Smoke Grill has exceeded our expectations! The instructions were very clear and assembly was an ease. Our almost 2 year old son has thoroughly enjoyed grilling for us nightly. He LOVES the ”sizzle & smoke” feature. As with all Step2 toys, the durability can't be beat. The cabinet in the front is perfect for storing all the accessories when not in use. The two wheels make for easy transport around the yard. Overall, a wonderful toy that we know will stand the test of time. Thank you Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!

Mini Grill Master

Perfect Bbq for our 4 year old son! His sister, who is 5 years old, loves it too. I was searching for a play bbq that had room to grow for my 4 year old and this one had the best reviews. He loves it and was so excited about the realistic features (grilling sound with steam). So glad I purchased it!

Great size for 4/5 year old!

This grill is awesome! The light up steamer inside the grill is a cool feature. I wish there was more storage underneath the grill and the lid pops up easy sometimes, but overall, it was my sons favorites bday present!

Great present!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After product was put together several parts did not fit as easily as others. The grill lid does not fit down on both ends evenly. And the smoker part of grill was very hard to put in and looked as if it needed to go in 1/8 inch more.

Got this for my two year old grandson. He loved the way that it smokes and sizzled. It is great toy for him out on the patio grilling next to Dad. Only thing I don't think the top will last long as the part where it attaches to the grill is cheaply made. Overall it's a cute grill.

Fun toy!

I don't think the price matches the product quality. The doors are hard to open and the accessories are subpar. Otherwise it's okay.

It's just okay

I bought this toy for my granddaughter whose age is 3. The toy was so small that I couldn't believe it cost that much for its size. The quality is just not what it used to be. I was disappointed and thought about returning it but my granddaughter would not understand so I just kept quiet. She didn't know any difference. She liked it and that's all that matters.

Step 2 Pretend Play Battery Powered Sizzle & Smoke Barbecue Grill w/ Cooking Set centered, front-facing child-sized plastic grill with hinged lid, two main grates, side burner and side table, turning click knobs, pretend propane tank, lower cabinet and removable storage tray; includes 15-piece cooking set (pots, tongs, oven mitt, plates, utensils, two steaks, two ears of corn, bottle of steak sauce); hidden water-vapor smoke effect and sizzling sounds (requires 3 AA batteries, not included); suitable for pretend play kitchen roleplay or storing toy accessories.
