This is worth every single penny. While plastic, you can put it outside but we chose to keep it indoors.   Since I'm not super artistic, I chose not to decorate it as a usual nutcracker and spray painted it a solid colour.  (Two cans required).  This looks comparable to crate and barrel and others at 10x the cost.

Now to convince my husband I need another

He's perfect, I'm having a lot of fun painting him, easy to wipe down if you make a mistake. I primed and will do a sealant at the end to make sure everything stays perfect.

Handsome guy

I really love big nutcracker statues but at 500-600 dollars or more, I thought I would make my own. So happy I did. Really nice quality and fun project. So happy with the result

This came in a small very light package. The nutcracker is in 3 pieces. The smallest is the hat, then torso and legs. The hat popped on easily. The legs and torso have holes in the top for adding sand to weigh it down. I found it easy to assemble. I will be placing it at my front door outside. I plan to paint it. It requires a coat of primer first and then can be painted. 
It looks to be a fun fall project ahead!

I recommend this nutcracker for ease of assembly and moving.

Light weight and easy to assemble nutcracker

This thing is so cool! It's made of very hard plastic and comes in 3 separate parts. My 3 teen kids at home were excited when this was delivered and anxiously want to paint it. This will be a great project to do as a family. I like that it's made of very tough plastic, not cheap or flimsy. The great thing about plastic is that it can be durable and last forever indoor or outdoor unlike other materials that rust or decompose over the years. This is gonna look so cool after it's been painted! It is huge!

Family project

Made from sturdy plastic. Lightweight so we will need to engineer a way to attach him to our veranda as we have lots of wind. He will look lovely when painted which I will do next year as we didn't order him early enough for this Christmas.

Will be amazing when painted

This nut cracker was a gift from my Husband. . . I collect nut crackers and have been looking for out door decor like this. . I am disappointed that he paid so much for it and I have to paint it myself , that seems a tad ridiculous given the price of it .

Nut cracker gift from Hubby

Overall, this piece makes a wonderful addition to my outdoor holiday décor. I love how easy it is to assemble— it comes in just three pieces, and the setup is simple, requiring only a screwdriver for the legs. It feels sturdy and well-made, and I appreciated not having to worry about missing parts.
If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to make the hat removable. Once it's on, it can't be taken off, which limits the option to paint closely to it.
My kids had a great time unwrapping this decoration, and the assembly was so straightforward that they were able to help put it together with minimal adult assistance. We haven't painted him yet because he looks great as-is, but once the weather warms up, we may personalize him with some color

Easy to assemble holiday decoration

I'm really impressed with this paintable nutcracker! It arrived in a cardboard box which was undamaged, unlike some other reviews I have read. Both the packaging and the statue itself were in perfect condition. The nutcracker is surprisingly lightweight and super easy to assemble, which was a nice bonus.
I'm excited to start painting it and bring it to life for the holidays! However, I do wish it came with paint or at least included better guidance on what type or brand of paint works best for the plastic material. I'm a little concerned about paint adhesion, but hoping it turns out great with the right prep.
Overall, it's a fantastic piece with lots of creative potential! I think this will be a great family project leading up to the holidays, and a nice decoration piece for our porch with future holiday seasons to come!

Festive, Fun, and Ready for Creativity!

The nutcracker has incredible details. The paintability makes it customizable with numerous combination options. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a painter. More detailed painting instructions are needed (spray or brush). I had planned to paint each section separately but assembled it, to see what it looked like, and then couldn't remove the hat. For those who are DIYers or crafters, I can see this being a creative, enjoyable outlet. The price, in my opinion, is high for something that requires the additional investment of primer, paint, topcoat and time. A few preprinted options would be nice, still at a lower price point. The size of the nutcracker is wonderful for both indoor and outdoor. The ability to weight it down is definitely a plus for outdoor display.
