Standing Room

Battery installation and attachment process is straightforward.

May break or malfunction with handling, especially by children.

Can be robust, but also prone to flimsiness in certain areas.

Love this gingerbread house! I already let my grandson play with it and it is a hit. My only suggestion for improvement would be the musical wreath. I wish it had a button to push instead of having to move it. My grandson figured out to slam the door to make the music play!

Love this Gingerbread House!

step2.com

I bought this Gingerbread House in 2020 it has been very well played with every year since by several different kids and they love redecorating it. I also purchased additional pieces to add to the house. The only things that I would change is the candy canes fitting in their holes better, and the top of the house the white snow I used zip ties to secure them so that they don't keep falling off.

Great Holiday Toy for Kids and Adults

Very fun for our girls. Great quality. Definitely for a younger child age 5 and under, but my 7 year old enjoyed it with her little sister

Cute, but smaller than I thought. I'm sure it will still be played with. I should have looked at the measurements, so that's my fault. This is adorable for little ones & I forsee passing it down through the family of cousins through the years to come.

Very cute

I absolutely love the look of this gingerbread house. I know my grandkids will enjoy it for years to come. My only issue with the product is the fact that the decorative pieces are made out of a much different plastic that the rest of the house. I had the same issue with the My First Christmas Tree and the train that came with it. Like the train, the candy pieces feel cheaply made. Not at all the Step 2 quality I am used to. Other than that I have to admit, I am obsessed with this thing.

So adorable

Was disappointed in candy canes. Candy cane is only finished on front, therefore all canes must face same direction. Only came with 4 canes yet house has holes for six canes.

Gingerbread House

The overall idea is really cute but I don't think the price and quality align. The size compared to the my first Christmas tree is significantly smaller. It's also not sturdy, the top comes off which is great for storage but it falls off along with all of the decor just with my toddler touching the wreath. You have to shake or tap the wreath pretty hard to get the lights and music to work, which again results in the top of the house falling off.

Cute but could be pretty quality

Very cute toy but the wreath didn't work straight out of the box. Contacted customer service, they promptly sent me a new wreath however that one didn't work either. I'm not sure if we just got a bad batch or what. We tried multiple brand new batteries, made sure the were in correctly and still nothing.

Disappointed

We have the Step2 Christmas tree, the snowman, AND the rocking reindeer, and we love them all! This gingerbread house looks so cute in pictures but is the cheapest, most obnoxious toy we own. It's wobbly and the house doesn't click into the base. The roof is wobbly and doesn't lock into the house in any way. NONE of the decorations click into place to stay put. So if you want to take the roof lid off to get other pieces out, all of the decorations come off. The candy canes just kind of dangle there. The door is useless since it's a door to nowhere, and doesn't click in place either. The cheap plastic screws broke while I struggled to get them installed for the peppermint. I genuinely am disappointed that Step2 had a chance to make another quality toy and instead put this piece of junk out there just to get our money. Worst toy purchase I've ever made!! If I could give it zero stars I would.

Cheap piece of junk.

I had ordered the Christmas tree and the gingerbread house for my son's first Christmas. I absolutely love the tree and the sturdiness, but the gingerbread house is not what I expect from a step 2 product. I own many over the years (have 5 children) and I must say this is the most disappointing yet. When u click it into the base it is still very wobbly. It's not sturdy like the tree. The door would have been cuter if it opened to the other side, but I'm assuming that's where to put the gingerbread man. The door down click closed on the bottom, which is another thing I don't like. Only positive thing I have to say is that it's confident that the top of the house comes off to store the pieces so they don't get lost. To think I wanted because it kept selling out just to be disappointed. I would return and try the snowman, but already got ride of the box.

Very poorly made product
