I got this for my son's birthday. I figured he would like it. I hit a home run with this hoops set. It also has a spot that he can put the ball that came with it, or a drink while he's playing (you should never have to look for it). It was easy to put together, set up was a breeze. I like the height adjustments options knowing he can grow into it. I'm very happy with my purchase. It was out of stock for a month or so--I had to wait for Walmart and Step2 get it back in stock. He has the race car bed set as well. It's a perfect combination. I highly recommend Step2. Thank you Step2 for such a great products.

Great recreational toy for kids

I bought one of these for my son when he was younger, but it was not as well made as this one. My grandson watches his dad and uncle to play basketball, and wants to join in but is too young, and small. This is perfect, he tries to pull it everywhere.

Grandson loves it!

The ball that came with the goal was deflated so we had to go buy a pump before our child could play with it. Had we known that at the time of purchase we could have bought a pump to come with it.

Great product but ball ships deflated

So much fun - we've had it indoors because of the weather right now but it'll be sturdy outdoors too (for a plastic basketball net). Love that the height is adjustable to grow with the kids until they're ready for the real thing. There was no net in the box? But we emailed the company and they had one delivered within the week - another great Step2 product.

So much fun!

I bought this for a great-grandson for Christmas but did open the box to make sure all parts were there. I am sure he will love it. He is 4.

Nice for small kids

We got this as a birthday present for our identical twin grandaughters who are turning two.  They also have an older sister who will be turning four in a couple of months, so it needed to be something they can all enjoy.

Pros: Compared to most others we saw under $100, this one appears to be sturdier than most.  Time will tell.  The base can be filled with water or sand, which is a real plus.  I've seen lots of these that pre-schoolers easy tip over.  That leads to bumps, bruises and broken equipment.  Because there are three of them, we thought it was important to find a set that we could easily find and buy additional balls that are the right size and weight appropriate for the hoop.  We got three additional balls at Walmart that fit the bill.

Cons: There is plastic and then there is plastic.  Most of this product is made from compounds that won't easily break or shatter, but I'm a little concerned about the backboard, which I think might be more suseptible to that.  Time will tell and frankly this seemed to be common with all the products we saw.  While it's cool to see the holders for a water bottle, I'm wondering what the preschooler mind is going to come up with as a use for that feature.  I do NOT think it is a good idea to try to put a spare ball there--at least not when in use.

I'll come back and update this review once the girls have had some time to use it.

For Three?

This is a good product but I just have two suggestions to make this product even better. I just want to say that my daughter and I along with other family members have a blast playing basketball with our daughter. The best part is seeing her smiling and have fun. The only two suggestions that I have is one, this should come with a manual pump & needle to inflate the basketball and two every so often the top part of the hoop falls out. This part should attach like the netting because the net has these little clips that lock in place to keep the net from falling off easily. I noticed that the top of the hoop just pushes into two squares on the stand part of the hoop. I noticed that twice when my daughter threw the ball and made the shot the basketball hoop fell out. Other than those two suggestions I can say that I love this basketball hoop because it can adjust in height and the base of the stand has a holder for the ball and your child's drink. Overall this is a good product and very Easy to assemble. I would recommend this to anyone.

We like the sturdiness and construction of the basket.  It looks good and was easy to assemble.  The only thing we would prefer is a wider basket so the junior basketball could fit through.  It gets caught in the net and we will eventually have to cut the bottom when our grandson grows into the bigger basketball.  For now the small ball that came with it will be okay.  It would have gotten 5 stars if the net was different.  We like the height range as well.

Nice basket for growing toddler

The goal that I received is great. But not the one advertised. It does not adjust. I see now that others have had the same problem from reading reviews.
