Used for yarn storage in a building with a large mouse population. The mice love to chew through yarn, I assume to personally taunt me since it has no nutritional value and they don't carry it away for nesting. This container finally stopped them and saved me hundreds of dollars in ruined yarn. I was able to fit 14 300g balls of bernat blanket yarn in this container while allowing it to fully latch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already had one and wished to have a couple more just like it.   There is one thing you might improve on.  My two large storage containers were shipped in two large boxes.   They could both have easily fit in one box.  This would have been much more efficient and economical for you.

The Sterilite 54 Quart Gasket Box fit perfectly in the bottom of my IKEA closet.  It was hard to find a large storage box between 22-23 inches long.  I am so glad this option was out there.  I initially purchased an IRIS equivalent storage item which was cheap and broken on arrival - frankly was not worth my money in anyway.  This Sterilite product was far superior, could even handle heavy items in my son's bedroom for years, so I should have bought it in the first place!  I was so happy that I came back and bought more.  Thanks!

Bought more!!!

It will work well for food, since it seals much better than regular sterilite containers.  It is clear and easy to see the contents.  The plastic is thick enough for 50 lbs of items.

I love these tubs. I love the quality and the price of these bins. I have purchased several and never had an issue with cracking.
I especially like the gasket that goes around the outside to keep things from getting in. When I put my tubs into storage and bring them back into my house, I would prefer not to have uninvited guests.

Great value for the price!  Product is as advertised! This storage tote is sturdy and has the seal ring which makes it excellent to store cat food and bird seeds without attracting ants or mice. It's also great for storing other item such as winter clothing, or summer clothing without attracting moths. Thank you!

This bin is a god size for stacking on shelves or in closet, and its construction shows a good balance between ruggedness and weight. The gasket top snaps shut with authority and protects content from moisture and pests. The semi-clear material helps identifying content without need to open the box.

Weather resistant storage bin

These are great for keeping pests out of your belongings for long-term storage. I used cardboard boxes before, and no matter how I tried to seal them up, bugs would find there way in. With these Sterilite Gasket Seal containers, pests are locked out -- no more worries. They also allow you to see what is inside, and the lid easily snaps on and off, and even acts like it is hinged on one side if you don't try to open it too far. Even when loaded with heavy items like books, the molded handles are more comfortable than many other storage containers. The only downside that I have noticed is the rare chance of a broken handle (the blue plastic). If not careful, you can pull it right off and break it, making it a little harder to lock the lid on tight.

Much better than boxes for storage.

I cant recommend these totes. They do have the sealing feature and it is very useful, especially if you need to store your things in undesirable conditions / locations, such as outdoors, a basement or attic or public storage facility. 

I don't love the color. A nice beige color would look nice. That's not a game changer. 

They're sturdy - if you can manage to get them delivered in one piece. That's on Walmart. Still doesn't change the product rating. 

What I deducted stars for is the intense smell of chemicals with these totes. It is so unbelievably strong that it makes me nauseous to open them. I tried to air them out - sitting them outdoors for a week and they still smell awful! I thought they were ok after a few more days, so I put  clothes in one and pantry items in another - because we're moving. I closed the lid and they sat in place. I had to add items to the boxes, so I opened them and the smell hit me in the face with such intensity, I literally almost threw up. 
I don't know what this chemical is but I don't want it anywhere near my things. I just hope I can wash the smell out of my clothes and there's no way I'm eating the pantry food items. The boxes and cans smell like that box. Yuck!

Chemicals-Yuck!!

Bought 3. One is great. The other two came with lids that were too big. I called. They said they would replace within 24 hours. That was two days ago.
