They're very modern looking. They're great for everyday use and more formal dining! I love the matte coating on them as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the modern style of this set of dishes.  It's simple and has a casual elegance.  The dishes are very heavy.  They are perfect for outdoor dining because the wind will not blow them away.  The size of the plates and bowls are generously large  and a good size for holding a variety of foods.  I love the deep edging on the plates so drippings will not run off and it protects food from the wind.  I also like that they are stackable, so even though they are big, they do not take up too much space in the cupboard.
