[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The game "Terraforming Mars" has numerous expansions.  If you own and enjoy the base game, you want this expansion.  It doesn't cost much, and it makes the game better.

Unlike typical expansions, Prelude does not change or expand game play; it just adds a setup phase that gives each player a boost in a chosen direction.  This gives the game a bit of a speedup, and also gives players a better chance to specialize.

It's a small box with not much inside.  Basically, you are buying a small deck of cards.  From a game-playing perspective, if you own Terraforming Mars and you thought it was worth the money, then Prelude is worth the money.

Perhaps the most important expansion for Terraforming Mars.  Prelude kickstarts everyone's Corporation and theme to allow for faster engine building and an overall much better experience.  If you buy NO OTHER expansion for TM, Prelude will play a critical role in your increased enjoyment of the game.
