This model and make is cheapest here at Walmart vs any other vendor with other sellers being 2x or more for the same light!  I had same light for 7 years before switch died and looked high and low for it again!

Magnifing Lamp

Great product priced attractively. I used a GV LED lamp and it does the job. Great product

Does the job well

I've had other lamps of this type which had a flap that could be flipped over the glass when not in
use to keep it from getting dusty. Other than that, the lamp is of good quality and value.

I have bought a few of these type lights and these particular ones are decent quality. I gave it 5 stars for the price vs quality. Obviously you can pay a  lot more and get something better. 

The plastic hood is sturdy enough to be durable as is, but you have to be careful with it. You could reinforce it where it mounts and it would then be much more durable.  

The magnifying lens is held in place with a plastic ring and 4 screws, unlike the ones that use little tabs. I've had many a lens smash on the floor with the cheep hood and junky tabs.

The arm has all screws so you can tighten them all and get a nice action out of the arm. The cheep ones are just riveted and have only one screw to tighten.

Good light for money

Very nice. I replaced the CFB bulb with an LED one because I don't like CFB tech. 
The arm holds it position well, but pivots too easily on the base. The lamp tends to swing to one side in certain positions. It's a slow creep, not a fast pivot so it's really a minor annoyance. 
The lens is big enough to look thru with both eyes at once. 
The cost was about the same as a plain lamp without a magnifier, and that makes it a better value.
I use it at my hobby workstation for soldering, detail assembly, and model painting.

Nice lamp and magnifier.

I gave this lamp to a friend in the jewelry business. He was having problems with his more intricate pieces. He says that the lamp has greatly improved his work. He uses it for everything.

I Can See

This lamp is a great value.  It is easy to attach to a work surface and easy to use.  The lens had pooped out in the box before we bought it, but it went back in pretty easily and seems ok.  wish I had bought the 5X magnification lamp, though.  A little more expensive, but better magnification.

Easy to attach and use

I wanted to use this in my pottery studio for fine brushwork, but it is very hard to adjust the height to the correct level to use for this job. It ends up being very low and there is little room for the brush.
