Very easy to assemble and install - took no time at all and the template/guide really simplifies it even more! We installed one at the top and one at the bottom of the stairs to protect our kids and also our Frenchie! Very satisfied and would recommend!

Easy to install!

We bought this for the top of the stairs.  We also bought the universal mounting kit.  Overall, it did exactly what we wanted.  The only minor inputs would be:  the mountaing kit assumes columns with out bases, therefore, we had to cut one side short so it would fit above the rectangular base; doing that caused the gate to be too high for the support thing which now dangled in mid air.  All that said, even without the support leg down, the gate worked very well.  Add to the fact that it's the only one found after a very long search, can't do better at all.

very well designed

Easy for my 6 year old daughter to use which is so nice and seems very sturdy. We have gate at top of stairs with double banisters and 3 of our kids have rooms in basement so the gate see a lot of traffic and is holding up very well so far!

Sturdy

Gates installed fairly easily and work as shown.  I like that you can swing them both ways to move them out of the way without un-installing after grandchildren leave.

Worked as intended

Works perfect for our banister to wall! Very simple to install and very small amounts of drilling holes!

Wood Gate

Did not work well when you have tall baseboard on either side. Really nice material and look when installed.

High quality but has firment issues

I put it on the stairs. When I go up or down and holding a baby it's not comfortable because I have to be very careful he is not getting hurt from the sides of the gate or myself. I already got a blue mark on my behind from the plastic that sticks out that says warning. We initially purchased two of them but had to return one because it would t fit properly. It was either too big with the extension or two small without it. One good thing I can say is the Quality of the gate is good but bottom line it's not functional for me.

Gate opening too narrow

My 7 yr old has a hard time opening it, it annoying to align the bottom and top together.
I wouldn't buy this again

Don't like it

The wood is really light, the mechanism quite cheap. Easy to install, but I have doubts about durability

Cheap, it's cheap

Don't bother, find a better product, especially for the cost! 

I purchased mine a couple of months ago and it is flimsy, doesn't glide nicely at all. It is so difficult to open and close it that it has been ripped out of the wall already even with using plugs as you have to shake the gate a bit to have it glide back and forth. Very unimpressed and this certainly wouldn't be suitable on a set of stairs!

Save your money, buy something else.
