Recommended tools for hardware installation (not included): drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape. I needed something for the top of our staircase, and this was a perfect fit, and made putting up  the gate a breeze! ! It's easy to open %26 close (but still multi-step for child-proofing). It looks great, it's super sturdy! The ease of locking and unlocking makes it easy to navigate with a basket of laundry!  Very happy with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this gate! My door frames are smaller than most so it was difficult to find the right size gate. This was perfect because it had extra bars that are easy to pop in and out to make it work for various sized door frames. This gate keeps my 60lb dog out of certain rooms and stays in place when she leans/ puts her paws up on it. The gate is also short enough that the cats can easily jump over it and I can step over it. Instillation was fairly easy. I ran into a hiccup with the alignment on one, but was able to quickly figure it out.
