We used a convertible chainsaw to take down the tree in our alley. Since the tree was quite tall and surrounded by numerous electric cables, we had to cut it down in sections rather than all at once. The Sun Joe chainsaw performed exceptionally well for the job.

Small but powerful 💪

I used this saw to first trim the upper branches  then cut down in sections a 7" diameter tree. I was standing on the garage flat roof for the upper parts of the tree ,so pretty safe, but think seriously about doing this kind of thing before you do it. No problems really. There is a bit of vibration because the teeth on the chain seem to be spaced about twice as far apart as my old gas chainsaw but nothing unbearable. The auto-oiler seemed to work well.
So, all in all a worthwhile purchase, and less expensive than having someone come and cut the tree down!

Great Little Saw

I was tired of dealing with issues getting an older gas powered chainsaw working on a regular basis, and decided to try electric. Since I have some taller tree branches that need trimming, I decided to look for a pole saw, and I was happy to see this combo that switches from pole saw to normal chainsaw. I had hoped for a larger blade, but this was the biggest I could find with a combo unit.

I'm very happy with this saw. I've cut through logs and branches that are near 10" with no problems, and it's so much more convenient that mixing gas and old and trying to start up a gas chainsaw. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great chainsaw and works for what I needed

A friend of mine had purchased the sun joe chainsaw with pole and when I saw how lightweight it was and easy to handle, I went online that day and bought one.  I have a lot of tall trees and branches in my yard and I didn't want to get on a ladder - this does the trick.  After telling my brother about it, he borrowed it and also loves it.

The Sun Joe Electric Convertible Pole Chain Saw-10" (SWJ807E) is easy to use, light weight, and chews through wood like a hungry beaver.  I used it last weekend to trim small limbs and branches from several large trees.  The chain stays sharp and the motor provides ample power to handle the hardest wood.  I can recommend this product for the average homeowner who doesn't make felling trees a second job.

Small but Powerful

East, straight-forward assembly and works like a charm.  My husband (69 years old) said it was better than his Stahl hand-held.  I'm 67 and (while I do pride myself in good strength for my age) found it too heavy to hold using the long pole.  Otherwise, we are extremely satisfied with the product.

This is the best price and quality pole saw  money can you buy, I have two products and both works very well.at first I said I am going to give it a try and kept my receipts
just in case.but let me tell you don't waist your money in expensive tools unless you run a business.this tool will do the same for less money !!!!!

Amazing !!!!

My husband gave this to me for my birthday and I couldn't be happier.  So far I have used it just one time and it worked great.  I like the extension feature.  I call it my chainsaw on a stick.  Thanks for a good product.

My first chain saw

I already had a Sun Joe pole saw and love it, however when this came out as a convertible hand held I had to try it. It's a fantastic tool, cuts wood like butter and can be used on all types of wood on my property.

Yes it's very easy to use straight out of box took less 10 minutes and was trimming liked everything about this unit I have 2 friends helping me trim my trees they liked it also they said they were going order won also this is the second product of sun Joe I have purchased  also the power washer like it also

It is not sharp enough to cut tree branches, unless the branches are low and need a lot of pressure pushing down to cut them.
