I just purchased this lawn mower as a replacement for a different brand that I had for many years. It is powerful enough to mow through a foot of grass (first cut of the season) without any issues and although heavier than the one that I had previously, is still manageable. I usually mulch my grass but I like that that the grass catcher came with it that I could use for the first cut because the grass was so long. Also, for the same reason it's nice to have seven levels to cut the grass, and easy to change at one spot.

This mower is the  perfect  thing for me as I have a small lawn. The shipping was on time.  The things that I like about the mower is that it has a  mulch feature and is easy to store also has  several  adjustable settings for the lawn cutting.  Great power also.  Happy I bought it.

Does the job!!!!

I've used gas lawnmowers my entire life and just got tired of dealing with the maintenance and filling gas cans. Bought this lawnmower not knowing what to expect regarding power and dealing with a cord. It has far exceeded my expectations. It's light, but has a surprising amount of power. Once you figure out how to mow in a pattern that keeps your cord out of the way, the cord isn't an issue. Highly recommend this product for someone with a small to medium sized yard.

Really impressed by this Lawn Mower!

I am so happy with this mower that my yard is getting cut more often than it used to!!! Although my yard is always immaculate, now even my friends asked if I am cutting my grass more frequently! I love all the different height adjustments. It's smooth and relatively quiet. The additional inch in width over my previous mower makes a difference.

I bought this for my Dad. He has been using a manual push mower for several years. He is in his 70's and didn't want the noise or hassle of a gas mower. I bought this for him because the “Snoopy\Dennis the Menace” mower he preferred was difficult for me, and if I couldn't do it, he shouldn't either. Surprise!  He loves this mower. It is easy to use for my Father and myself. The noise doesn't bother him and I am thankful that he let me do this for him.

Great for Dad

I like your mower very much.  It is light, mows perfectly even, starts without any problems, and has a mulching system that is the best I have ever used.  It does have one problem.  The foot guard in the rear is a real pain.  You can not back up the mower even slightly without it curling under the mower.  You need to engineer a better system.  The current problem hinders the mowing around things in the yard.

A very good mower

I had a used Craftsman Electric previously.  I would mow and walk away.   I left it outside to face the elements and for years it ran until it needed new brushes in the engine.  I bought the SunJoe instead of getting the Craftsman fixed.  

The SunJoe almost deserves 5 Stars.  It's got a wide blade and the body can be heightened to around 4 inches.  And you can lower it to eat dirt.    I live on a farm with bunches of different types of grass and un-leveled ground and bumps all throughout the yard.  

With patience you can get through high grass, and if you hate the hassle of gas and oil and containers and pull-starting and loud noise, you'll be happy with an electric.

The biggest problem is not the electric cord; it is instead the need for having the cord out to your side.  All a developer would need is to manufacture a  foot-and-a-half lever that can attach to the push handle and stick out to the side.  Once you put the cord on this, it would dramatically reduce the need for constantly keeping an eye on the cord.

Problems with SunJoe:  
*The foam handle around the push handle tore on the first day.
*There's a button you have to hold in before you press on the starter handle.  I know it's for safety, but still ... the mower shuts off when you release the starter handle.
*The plastic tongs that secure the cord from unplugging, it's slightly hard to get to.  It's under the button you hold in.
*The undercoating paint has already started to eat away (not that you need the paint there anyway).
*There are 2 filters on the plastic top that helps vent the engine.  But on the right side filter, it's super hard to remove excess grass clippings because it's blocked by the bendable vent which expels clippings.

I won't leave the SunJoe out in the elements.  I'm going to keep it covered.  I don't know if the attractive dual-green plastic shelling will fade.  The Craftsman certainly did.

I hated mowing til I started using an electric.

Electric Avenue

I've only used the mower 5-6 times and other than having to get used to navigating the power cord, I'm very pleased. My only complaint is that the cord retainer is, effectively, useless. My heavy duty cord doesn't fit and my all purpose cord doesn't stay in so I have to loop the cord so it doesn't disconnect from the mower cord.

Does the job

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is a problem I've had with other mowers (and it could be the way I use it).

The square part of the assembly that you can see is made of metal, but it fits inside a plastic holder. The electric lawnmowers I've used have all had the metal cut into the plastic clockwise (in order to tighten).

I've tried to clear everything out of my yard, but occasionally I still hit things that are buried below the grass height. Maybe I shouldn't tighten the blade so much when I attach it. This can cause wobbling in the blade.

I don't know if there's anything I can do about it, but I'd love to hear back from the manufacturer.

Other than that, this is an EXCELLENT product!

Great cutting product!

Within a few minutes of its first use, the left rear wheel fell off.  I tightened the bolt - thinking maybe the assembly team was just negligent, but it fell off again.  Turns out, there was a bulge in the metal at the base of the wheel bolt that caused a ring to sit at an angle that pushed the white plastic wheel bearings toward the bolt's nut, which would unscrew as the wheel turned to mow.  I was able to fix the situation by using a rotary tool with a metal grinding bit to remove the excess metal bulge and then sprayed the area with black Rustoleum; good as new, but I shouldn't have to do all of this for a brand new mower...

Wheel Fell Off

Cheap, horribly constructed mower. Won't recommend nor buy another. Fell apart in the back yard before one strip of grass was mowed.
