The day I received this i decided to use it. Installing the chain was a breeze and I had no problems with adding the oil. I plugged it in and extended the pole to the max as this was the reason I bought it in the first place. It cut perfect and I even tilted the chain saw so I could get a hard to reach branch. I used it for about 4 hours on and off and even used this off a ladder to give me even more reach. I did have to add some oil during the use but that's no big deal. All in all I am very please with this purchase. Since I always check the oil before using it I store the chain saw after emptying the oil out as it will leak a little and I don't want a oil spot in my work shop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to trim some branches that were skimming the top of our porch, and it did the job without being dangerous to use.  Our porch is on the second story, and my husband was able to reach the branches from the edge of the porch without a ladder due to the nice 15 feet reach.

Great product!

Performs very well, easy to maintain. I'm 72 and am able to use it, but don't use it like I used it. I did most of my work on an eight foot step ladder which is not recommended by the manufacturer but I didn't have any problems except getting a little arm weary. The saw isn't that heavy but when you extend it fully it sure feels heavier then eight pounds. I did all of my sawing with the saw straight not bent. I would rest the saw on the branch to be cut to take the weight off of my arms, then elevate the saw an inch or so, start it up, then down to cut.

A really good product

I have palm trees with razor sharp branches that cut the daylights out of u. The chainsaw reaches out 15 feet and goes through the palm branch in less than 2 second.  My palm trees are very dense and hard to get to and with the 8 inch saw it fits easily between branches.

Sun Joe electric pole chain saw worked well for me trimming down medium tree in the fall.  Used it also to trim the length of the branches to fit the bin (or your WM/Rep/ will refuse pick up the bin or charge additional.

Worth the money, one in each of my property

This pole chain saw is better than ever. No kickback, telescopes, adjustable angle for cutting. I'm a 71 yr old woman and I love using my Sun Joe pole saw. I find that the adjustable chain angle is the best help for me.

Perfect tree trimmer

I bought it not expecting much but it paid for its self instantly. Cut bigger and longer than expected. Used it for hours. Keep bar oil in it and you will not have problems. Definitely worth the money. I ran it off a 2200wAtt generator with no problems. Sitting in my garage waiting to be abused again.

Super cheap, workhorse

This pole saw is easy to set up and use. It reaches most of the limbs we need to trim and is very useful for us.

Easy to use

Very good pole saw, within two year warranty period drive gear stripped.  Contacted SunJoe to obtain new gear however internal parts not available.  Called on a Friday and by the following day had a brand new replacement complete Pole Saw in hand!!  Incredible service standing behind their product.  Returned the damaged unit to Snow Joe with a return label provided at no cost to me.  The following week bought another SunJoe Pole saw for my other property.  Very easy to use and does a great job reaching up high to trim branches without having to use ladders and chain saw....a great safety factor.

SunJoe 8 inch Pole Saw

I found it very important to keep the chain tight!  The chain came off 3 times and damaged the inner guide teeth some; but I was able to repair it with a file and keep using the chain.  After the first 2-3 hours of using it, the chain seems to stay snug enough with no further problems.
It has plenty of power and the angle is a helpful feature over the previous pole saw I had.

Good functional tool!

It does work, kind of, but cannot cut tree limbs at all. It acts like the dullest chain saw you can imagine. It more scratches limbs than cuts them, even small limbs that a tree lopper could cut are difficult for this. Its more of an electric tree clipper.
