This pole chain saw is better than ever. No kickback, telescopes, adjustable angle for cutting. I'm a 71 yr old woman and I love using my Sun Joe pole saw. I find that the adjustable chain angle is the best help for me.

Perfect tree trimmer

snowjoe.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to trim some branches that were skimming the top of our porch, and it did the job without being dangerous to use. Our porch is on the second story, and my husband was able to reach the branches from the edge of the porch without a ladder due to the nice 15 feet reach.

Great product!

The only problem, when first installing the chain, the body next to the sprocket could use another 1/2 inch of clearance. The chain and sprocket was a tight fit, which caused some of the palstic body to get chewed while it was seating. After that, it ran like a champ !!

Does as advertised.

I have palm trees with razor sharp branches that cut the daylights out of u. The chainsaw reaches out 15 feet and goes through the palm branch in less than 2 second. My palm trees are very dense and hard to get to and with the 8 inch saw it fits easily between branches.

walmart.com

The day I received this i decided to use it. Installing the chain was a breeze and I had no problems with adding the oil. I plugged it in and extended the pole to the max as this was the reason I bought it in the first place. It cut perfect and I even tilted the chain saw so I could get a hard to reach branch. I used it for about 4 hours on and off and even used this off a ladder to give me even more reach. I did have to add some oil during the use but that's no big deal. All in all I am very please with this purchase. Since I always check the oil before using it I store the chain saw after emptying the oil out as it will leak a little and I don't want a oil spot in my work shop.

Works Great

Performs very well, easy to maintain. I'm 72 and am able to use it, but don't use it like I used it. I did most of my work on an eight foot step ladder which is not recommended by the manufacturer but I didn't have any problems except getting a little arm weary. The saw isn't that heavy but when you extend it fully it sure feels heavier then eight pounds. I did all of my sawing with the saw straight not bent. I would rest the saw on the branch to be cut to take the weight off of my arms, then elevate the saw an inch or so, start it up, then down to cut.

A really good product

Sun Joe electric pole chain saw worked well for me trimming down medium tree in the fall. Used it also to trim the length of the branches to fit the bin (or your WM/Rep/ will refuse pick up the bin or charge additional.

Worth the money, one in each of my property

This works really well but its too heavy for me at full extension. It cuts right thru limbs l%26 I liked not having to climb the tree with a handsaw but use the polesaw from the ground. The multi-position feature is great%26I think makes the job easier. It telescopes easily just by pushing open a lever %26 pulling out the pole...very easy. But,it gets heavy%26 as anything real long has a gyro effect. A man could easily handle it but I had a hard time. I can more easily maneuver it shorter in length. So I'll have to use a ladder, but it cuts so well %26 so fast that the job goes by very quickly. I used it on the ground right thru a big pile of branches. I really think this is a high quality well made tool that does what its supposed to do %26 I'm glad I got it.

Works excellently but heavy if extended.

Love it, I have damage to my back & shoulder. I was dreading trimming my 6 fruit trees with a ladder & chain saw. The Sun Joe pole saw made quick work of the trees. The adjustable head made trimming the upper branches easy. It's not too heavy at full reach. I highly recommend it.

Easy to use for a compromised body

Very good pole saw, within two year warranty period drive gear stripped. Contacted SunJoe to obtain new gear however internal parts not available. Called on a Friday and by the following day had a brand new replacement complete Pole Saw in hand!! Incredible service standing behind their product. Returned the damaged unit to Snow Joe with a return label provided at no cost to me. The following week bought another SunJoe Pole saw for my other property. Very easy to use and does a great job reaching up high to trim branches without having to use ladders and chain saw....a great safety factor.

SunJoe 8 inch Pole Saw

It does work, kind of, but cannot cut tree limbs at all. It acts like the dullest chain saw you can imagine. It more scratches limbs than cuts them, even small limbs that a tree lopper could cut are difficult for this. Its more of an electric tree clipper.

Sun Joe SWJ802E Electric Multi-Angle Pole Chain Saw, 8 inch, 6.5 Amp (Green) 8.4 lb (3.8 kg) pole saw with telescoping pole extending 9.4 ft (2.9 m) for up to 15 ft (4.6 m) overhead reach, 0°–30° adjustable head, 8-inch bar and chain with auto-oiler, CSA approved.
