Live here in NEW ENGLAND, plus staying with family in their drafty living room where I had to seal off these windows so it does get cold. Im trying not to turn on the gas bc I CAN tolerate 30 degrees outside ONLY with several layres of blankets. You see, Im trying NOT to turn on the gas lol. I decided to try my first electric blanket to keep me warm at night. Thank the heavens I did. I do have ceramic heater going on at night but electric shouldnt be as much as turning on the gas bc I have the heated blanket to keep me warm too. Even as cold as 20 degrees I can get away with setting it btwn 2 and 4!

I bought this blanket little over a month ago and I am very happy with it it keeps me warm I have no problems with it the only thing that I don't understand is why does it have on the controllers just a time limit up to 10 hours and often on switch but it does not have a place to where it could be set for heat level 
1. Hot
2. Warm

This blanket really gets a little bit too hot and I would like for me to be able to turn it down instead of just turning it off is there a way that I can turn the dial down to where it won't get too hot?

Heating

I received this for Christmas. It came with a manual, but the manual mentions not one word about how the “preheat” feature on the controller works, nor whether using preheat is part of the 10 hours of usage before the blanket automatically turns itself off ( as an energy conservation feature). Sunbeam... The preheat feature needs to be added to your manual so customers will know how to use it properly. I would also like to add that the number on the controller is so dim that I can barely read it, even in darkness.

Microplush Heated Blanket

I've owned Sunbeam blankets for years but on the newest model I just purchased (Velvet Plush King Size) the controls only stay lit for only about 20 seconds. That makes it difficult to know if it's on or not or what setting it's at as the night goes on without having to push a random button. Not sure why Sunbeam thinks removing that useful feature is an improvement.  Otherwise the blanket seems to work well.

Works Well But Why Doesn't Control Light Stay Lit

Received this as a gift about a month ago. Loved it for a month, then it stopped working.  There is perhaps some faint heat coming from wires in the blanket; however, if present it is insufficient to do any good.  Digital display works well so the issue seems to be in the blanket.  As such, it is useless.  I will note that the person gifting the product has one as well; she has used it over time and has been very happy with it.

I got it as a Christmas present. It worked until I disconnected it to change my sheets. Now it doesn't heat at all. Of course I have no box or gift receipt.

This is the second blanket I have gotten that has had faulty wiring and not worked brand new out of the box. Once maybe a fluke, twice is a pattern.

Bad wiring

I have had my King sized heated blanket for ~ 3 yrs. Actually this is my 3rd winter I will be using it or not. 1st year loved it, worked great, 2nd yr I felt as if all wires/coils were not heating, maybe just down by my feet, just took it out of closet and does not work at all!!
this is my 3rd Sunbeam heated blanket with same issue, my  husband if beyond angry for me buying another one but price point has been affordable, now I know why, he threw out the cord but I kept the blanket, it's a blanket but I did not need another blanket, i need a heated one!  I have searched all over internet for replacement cord thinking that might be the issue to  no avail. The blanket is only used seasonally. I do not recommend this product. I will be calling Sunbeam for options. Ridiculous to have to buy a blanket each winter.

Stopped Working

I have a queen size microplush with dual controls.  This is a replacement for the one that I returned in January which also malfunctioned.  Getting a replacement was 
such a hassle.  And now only one side of this blanket works.  One side flashes F2 constantly.  I unplugged the blanket from the wall and now - 10+ hours later it still flashes F2.  How is this possible?  The last working Sunbeam blanket I owned  lasted 38 years - and now this?  I'm done.  Cutting my losses and will never buy Sunbeam again.

Never again!

I asked for this for Christmas 2020.  My mother in law gave it to me as a gift and it has already stopped working.  The controller flashes F2.  I guess I should have read reviews before asking for this- seems like this is a problem many people have.  It has always been plugged directly into the wall, we have used plugged and replaced it in to "reset" and the problem persists.  So disappointing.
