Value For Money

May not withstand regular use due to inferior materials.

Can be intuitive, but may require practice and patience.

Require extra effort to chop food effectively.

I ordered this online in December when it was on sale, in red.
works great, a bit heavy, and had no problems opening the lid.
Powerful little motor.Am happy.

Works great

I received this as a gift and after accidentally putting the lid to the cup in the dishwasher, there is water trapped in it and I cannot get it out. I don't even want to think of the stuff growing in there without it being able to fully dry out. The motor part works fine but I can hear water sloshing around in the lid every time I use it and I can't just buy a new lid without buying an entire new set.

No instructions on how to open chopper, you have to pull up at same time as twisting due to small catch in lock area. Took awhile to figure it out. Frustrating

very difficult to open chopper

It is a rather heavy unit but works well so far using it every other day.

Good product

My experience with Oster Mini Mixer is horrifying as the process of opening the cap from the mixing bowel was depressing. Who ever engineered the design of the twist seal mechanism did not take into consideration vacuum formation stopping the lid removal easily. That would not happen in EU Molinex or US Black and Decker.
Why should a Canadian product be so lacking on basics for a basic kitchen product?

Bad/Poor Design

Just used this hand blender for a week until the plastic rotator thing broke. Only been using the blender to blend tomatoes and onions. Too delicate. Cant even find the part name online to get a new one.

Didn't even last a week

The chopper blade extension that fits to the motor is melted and the 3 grooves just spin around with no blade movement.I cannot find a replacement part..only have it 2 days

Oster 2612 Hand Blender with Chopper

I used this for the very first time and it broke! The motor burned out and plastic bits breaking and smoke coming out of the motor! I was not blending anything hard or tough to blend either.

Cheaply made.

First time using it overheated and broke where the blender attachment meets the actual motor. Should have had concerns when I noticed after first opening that the plastic cup to blend in was cracked after having never used it. The worst part is that after 20 seconds of blending a squash soup I spent hours on and was planning to freeze and give to family members (very thin and everything cooked to mush, and never an issue with my previous blender by Oster that had been in my household for years) there were burnt pieces of white plastic everywhere, including in the soup that had to be thrown out. I read the instructions before use and worried that I must have missed a piece after this incident reread them thoroughly a second time - turns out everything was assembled correctly and it's just a poorly made, cheap product. Disappointing from a brand I have always targetted when buying new kitchen appliances, and I will now avoid altogether in the future after this terrible product. Buyer beware, this product is far below quality standards you would expect from any brand, let alone a household name.

Incredibly Dissappointing Product

The absolute worst system I've ever owned. My husband and I are unable to remove the lid.
