Door

Bars slide out of place easily and makes opening doors difficult if the rack is filled with any adult sized shoes. Works best for heels and short boot, but no for sneakers

Obsolete construction

I will start with the good points. The clips that go over the door are adjustable for the thickness of the door. This is the first time I have seen this on a product like this. The cross bars that hold the shoes are made of metal and it does hold a lot of shoes.

Now for the not so good points. They not properly de-burr the ends of the metal cross bars and they would not fit into the end supports until I did the de-burring. The end supports are made of plastic and I'm not real sure of how sturdy they will be being on the back of a door. Also, you need more than the average amount of room behind the door or it hits the wall, as ours does, because of how far it sticks out from the door.

Yes, my daughter does like this rack and was able to assemble herself (with the minor rework mentioned above). I would recommend to someone that needs to get their shoes off of the floor.

It does the job it is supposed to

Very cheap and its plastic and also too many screws to install on my door. Just needed one to just hang down on the back of my door.
