Can be smooth and reliable, but also prone to tangling and alignment issues.

Features a wicker-like pattern and modern shape.

Made with sturdy materials for long-lasting use.

Can be sturdy, but also prone to flimsy parts.

Simple design makes it easy to manage pool hose storage.

I miss these two features on more expensive models. 1. Place to put your foot to hold the reel while winding the hose. This model has stakes that you pound in the ground to hold the unit. But I put it on my deck so it slides a bit while winding and unwinding hose. 2. Automatic hose distribution. This model has a slot for the hose to enter and a manual movement back and forth while winding to distribute the hose evenly on the spool. More expensive models distribute the hose automatically.

I priced out these features and decided it wasn't worth the extra money. I miss them a bit but overall am very happy with this unit.

Nice for the Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous model was larger and had more accessories.

I have been using this for about three weeks and it functions perfectly. It's not automatic rewind but not difficult at all to wind it back in. The construction is very sturdy. Looks nicer that a hose coiled in yard. I just ordered the brown 73 gal. deck box to go with it (also by Suncast). Very happy with the purchase.

Perfect

Very good quality and easy to use. No assembly needed - only connecting the hose! I am not going to leave mine out in the winter (Western Pennsylvania). Even with the hose attached it's not very heavy so I will carry it into my garage. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very nice product!

Our hose is the right length but it constantly comes off the track as it finishes winding up. I have 2, one of them is worse than the other one. I bought at a good discount but would never pay the original retail price. Maybe these are being discontinued. Connecting the roller inside was a bit tricky.

Not worth the original price.

Cheap %26 not sturdy at all. Handle sounds like it will break easily with no pressure at all. Would not recommend - could have gotten one for at least half the price same lack of quality!

Not worth the price at all!

Do not like because you have to use two hands to real in hose. One to crank and one to guide the hose back and forth. Plus if you don't use some kind of weight on top of the unit, and the cheap two ground hooks to hold the unit, it keeps wanting to come off the ground. Don't buy this item. If I hadn't thrown the box out I'd ship it back.

Waste of money and time!

I already have a Suncast wicker hose hideaway which I LOVE but needed one to hold my 175' hose so I ordered the one being reviewed. It is flimsy and the part to control the hose winding up might as well not even be there. I can not rewind the hose myself with out bracing my feet against the box and struggling because the knob does not want to turn. The hose does not wind in an orderly fashion making it very thick in spots. Can't figure out why it is so easy with my other one and almost impossible on this one.
