Works great. Looks great. Only thing is I wish it had a side piece/step at the base, something to put your foot on to stabilize the hose reel box when rolling the hose back up. It isn't stable and moves around.

Very attractive basket weave look, love the hose guide made it so much easier  for the hose to roll on the spindle,  so happy the attachment hose came with it.  I recommend anchoring it  with the anchors that came with it because it is super lightweight and slides around when pulling hose out.

I miss these two features on more expensive models.  1. Place to put your foot to hold the reel while winding the hose.   This model has stakes that you pound in the ground to hold the unit.  But I put it on my deck so it slides a bit while winding and unwinding hose.  2. Automatic hose distribution.   This model has a slot for the hose to enter and a manual movement back and forth while winding to distribute the hose evenly on the spool.   More expensive models distribute the hose automatically.  

I priced out these features and decided it wasn't worth the extra money.  I miss them a bit but overall am very happy with this unit.

Nice for the Price

This is a nice looking hose reel - I like the textured pattern on it and the dark brown color. It says need multiple people to assemble but it was easy - I did it myself. I hope it lasts a while, I am concerned that the spinning mechanism might not do well under the weight of the hose over time. But so far so good.

Attractive Hose Reel!

I haven't had this long so as of now it seems to do what I needed it for.  Maybe after I have had it for a while I will know more.  Seems to be a great buy.

Hum holds my yard hose.

Our hose is the right length but it constantly comes off the track as it finishes winding up. I have 2, one of them is worse than the other one. I bought at a good discount but would never pay the original retail price. Maybe these are being discontinued. Connecting the roller inside was a bit tricky.

Not worth the original price.

Do not like because you have to use two hands to real in hose.  One to crank and one to guide the hose back and forth. Plus if you don't use some kind of weight on top of the unit, and the cheap two ground hooks to hold the unit, it keeps wanting to come off the ground. Don't buy this item. If I hadn't thrown the box out I'd ship it back.

Waste of money and time!

I have bought several suncast hose reels over the years, But never online. This box is the cheapest made one I have ever seen. no gearbox or slotted guide, you have to manually slide the guide by hand. Do not buy! You will be disappointed.

they call it tough but one year in and its leaking like a sieve.the warranty is no good unless you register it within 90 days of purchase. 
again its useless.

I already have a Suncast wicker hose hideaway which I LOVE but needed one to hold my 175' hose so I ordered the one being reviewed.  It is flimsy and the part to control the hose winding up might as well not even be there.  I can not rewind the hose myself with out bracing my feet against the box and struggling because the knob does not want to turn.  The  hose does not wind in an orderly fashion making it very thick in spots.  Can't figure out why it is so easy with my other one and almost impossible on this one.
