[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been down the road with a few aluminum / rapid rise style jacks I half expected some of the inherent deficiencies that come along with them.  Specifically weak performance when heavily loaded requiring the "two arm pump", unstable / wobbly frame,  difficulty with opening and closing the valve at various handle positions and the typical inferior hardware that requires a once over before even thinking about putting it to use.

Well I couldn't have been more wrong with those assumptions.  This jack is actually much larger and substantially more robust then all the others I used in the past.  Right out of the box it displayed all the characteristics of a quality piece of equipment.  It rolls nicely, the swivel casters turn and roll with ease and the fact that the handle receiver already had a dollop of grease in there to mitigate galling was a great touch.  All the hardware was tight and ready to go to work.

In use I was very surprised how lifting the front of my crew cab pickup only required one arm and at a quick lift rate.  Long gone are both the 101 rapid pump workouts or the two armed / full body push up routine.  This unit picked it up without breaking a sweat or any nail biting at full height.  I have not come across another low profile jack that had that much elevation potential and still fit underneath a modern performance street car.  Plus the lift height is equal to the provided jack stands at full extension. 

Now what can be said about a set a jack stands, not much right?....wrong!.  These things are awesome.  Very stable, very stout, the height pin positions are perfect but 
 IMO the ultimate feature is the fact the riser has a captive feature within the stand.  So if you pick it up by the top without the pin it it, it doesn't come apart on you.  I can't even begin to tell you how much that is appreciated.   Also because the stanchion is smaller in diameter then your typical four sided jack stand the whole assembly can be used closer to (in this case) the tire providing much better stability.   

Fit and finish is top drawer and I could not find any flaws to complain about here or in the styling.  This will also make a very nice addition to the collection for track days since everything is lite, compact and packs up nicely.

I love the big handles, makes it easy to grab and throw it in that back of my truck but not so big that they are in the way. Easy to set up, especially with the QR code that brings you right to a Youtube video.

Back Saver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a jack and jack stand kit, look no further. I have a lowered car and this low profile jack rolls right in without any issues. It's pretty light for a 3 ton jack and the wheels/caster are silky smooth. It has a rubber lift pad so you don't mar up your jack points. The rise and lowering operations are smooth and easy to control with the handle. Once you have the car jacked up, just slide the light weight jack stands in and rise it to the desire height. You secure the height with the rod. Two of the features I really like about the jack stands are the wide base. It really helps when you are working on pavement or gravel. It's stable and doesn't leave a imprint in the pavement. I wish the base was a little wider but that me nitpicking. Over all I'm extremely please with this kit.

Great Jack and Jack Stand Kit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the floor jack and stands about 2 weeks ago ive since had a chance to use it out in the field on my service truck a good bit i like the fact of how light it is and still have a full 3 tons of lifting power. Its small enough that it fits in my side box perfectly with out having to do more than just pull the handle off. The jack stands that come with this kit are nice for a home owner in there driveway but i feel like the base is to small to do any significant work with a vehicle resting on them. All and all i would buy this product again and if i had more than 1 service truck i would get another one for it.

Love how lightweight it is

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently I had to use this jack and set of jack stands for a 5-day fun fest of working on my car as well as my girlfriend's Jeep. I have seen Sunex jacks in the past but was always concerned about the high price but after receiving this product for review, I decided that now was the best time to test it out.

I have to say, I am beyond impressed with this Jack and set of jackstands. They are made out of aluminum and are lighter than their steel counterparts (but certainly not what I would call "light"), and they are EXCEEDINGLY well built. I had absolutely no problems lifting my girlfriend's Jeep Grand Cherokee nor my little Mazda 3. The jack pumped rapidly (it has two pistons) and easily lifted both vehicles and held them securely. 

The quality of the build of these jacks certainly meet or exceed their price points. I've traditionally used Craftsman jacks and have found them to be...utilitarian. The Sunex 3-ton jack, however, goes beyond that to be even, shall I say, downright utilitarian AND beautiful. It's basically like night and day between the Craftsman jacks and this Sunex. Beyond its looks, its operation was flawless and the only real issue I had were the handles on the side. Personally, I did not like them for storage purposes (they just stuck out too far) but they are easily removable with a torx bit or allen key. 

As for the jack stands, I have to say that they performed admirably, helping to hold up my car overnight when I couldn't finish a CV axle job in time. They are also solid and extremely well built and exceeded my expectations for their quality and design. The only issue I had was in the design of the jack stands themselves: if you are used to traditional jack stands with a triangular base, you may be a bit uneasy about using these jack stands with a circular base. They certainly are not as steady as their triangular counterparts, but you would be surprised how steady they are just in their design.

All in all, I never would have bought a Sunex jack or jack stands before simply because of their price point. Now I realize that you really are getting what you pay for: this jack and set of jack stands blew every other jack that I have used out of the water in terms of quality, fit and finish, and operation. I HIGHLY recommend them.
