[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent exercise mat with soft generous memory foam padding with built in carry handles. Sturdy, easy to clean, and easy to carry/store. It happened to be on sale so the price was right.

Tried several different pads at Walmart and Target. They were just not padded enough for me to do sit ups each day on (I am over 60 yrs.). I do 100 sit ups, and after 50 or so, my back and neck would start aching. Not with this one, I don't have hardly any aching now. I also love the tri-fold concept instead of having to roll up a mat. I'm very happy!

Great work out mat - lots of cushioning!

I could not have been more pleased with my purchase. My reasoning - 1. It is so light and compact the way it folds back up. 2. The cushions are thick and can be replaced individually. 3. A few swipes with a disinfectant cloth and it is ready to go for the next time I need it. 4. The handles are sturdy and provide a firm grip. I should have purchased one sooner!

These are great to place on hard cushioned sofas to sit on!

My daughter is 10 and wanted these mats to practice some of her gymnastics skills. They are good quality, thick mats. We love them!

Great thick quality mats

I was looking for a gym quality folding mat for my home workout, without paying $60-$80.  I found it!  I like the thickness of the mat, would like the cover to be a different material, but so far overall happy!  I've only had it about 2 weeks and used a couple times, so only time will tell about the quality resistance and life of the cover material and the mat itself.

Pretty much what I was looking for

I did a search for gymnastics mats and this item came up. The price is great, so I bought it. I think it is a great mat for little ones that are tumbling, nap-time, and for anyone to use while stretching or doing sit-ups and the like... I wouldn't buy it for gymnastics though - the material is a little slippery for landings and it slides along the floor. I am going to find one that has a different material, is a little wider and has velcro straps to attach to other mats for gymnastics. If you are not doing round-offs, walk-overs, aerials, etc... then you will really like this mat, but if you are wanting something for the advancing gymnast you will want to find a different product. I'm keeping it because it will be great for my 3 year old to tumble on, sleepovers, and camping!

Great for cushioning, not for gymnastics...

I bought it for stretching before martial arts workout. Bought two since some stretches do call for larger area than two feet. I would have liked for each individual piece to have a velcro connector so when extending both they wouldn't separate.

It does the job....

The padding inside is like very very airy foam that squishes down when being used so it's not very supportive. I had fractured one of my lowest vertebrae 8 yrs ago and bought this to use for floor exercises because it was the thickest one I could find but it's doesn't work well for easing pressure. It squishes together so flat that I can feel the floor putting hard pressure on my spine and I have to add towels or another mat.

Disappointed

These were made for someone to use on a carpet maybe. Materials its made from are light and don't look durable. I kneeled on it and my knees hit the floor. I've bought other mats for the gym here at Walmart and they were all Good, well made and very well cushioned. Spend the extra dollars and get something Good.
