The Sunnydaze 49"H Electric Natural Stacked Slate Column Outdoor Water Fountain adds soothing water sounds to any outdoor space. This tall fountain stands 49 inches (124.5 cm) high and features stacked slate basins. Water flows from the top basin, cascading down each tier and returning to the bottom with the electric Skyish TP-750 submersible pump. The fountain holds 3 gallons (11.4 L), creating a continuous circulating effect. Made from natural slate, it is weather resistant and unique in color and pattern. Decorative rocks and protective foot pads are included. No plumbing is required. Place on patio, deck, or yard to enjoy tranquil water sounds. So, we spent several weeks looking for the perfect fountain that sounded like a fountain and looked nice for our front patio. We settled on this one, even though it was quite pricey, because it says it is actual slate, not resin. The fountain arrived today and it was easy to put together and sounds great, which is why I am giving it 3 stars; however, we are extremely disappointed in the look of it. It looks like resin that has been painted grey, and it feels and like resin, not slate. There is epoxy all over the actual funneling pieces, which again also do not appear to be real slate. Very disappointed considering the price.

The basin of the fountain leaks after a couple of years. Company is totally unwilling to stand behind their product in any way. I even offered to buy a new basin but they won't sell it. Now the entire thing will have to be thrown out. DO NOT BUY.
