My daughter loves this game. She likes it because it offers a variety of games and is very entertaining. We often play it together, but she can also enjoy it on her own.

It's a game you won't get tired of.

Recent Mario Party games were getting more underrated before this game came out, I was a bit scared that this was going to follow that trend, and with it being called SUPER Mario Party, there really were some shoes to fill. And, in my opinion, I think this game did a phenomenal job with doing that, as it just might be one of the funnest and most intriguing games on the Switch so far. The presentation, the vast amount of fun mini-games, the immersive way to go to each mode, the Mario Party mode, the river canoe mode, the roster, and multiplayer are all top notch and fantastic. and with Bowser being PLAYABLE, and just joining the fun without acutally making it hard on us. This is definitely a great package that has more than enough to live up to it's name, as it is one super fun time all around. However, despite how much fun this game is, i's still functional and fun, but it's kind of lame to have so little to do online. The other thing I found annoying is how this game does not let you play in any other mode except for with just one joycon. I fully understand why this is, so that more people can join in, as well as really emphasize the HD rumble, which, to this games credit, does work very well. But, it can be very annoying when you want to play this on the go only to have to set it on a table or something since the handheld mode won't work. Neither will the Pro Controller. Again, I do appreciate the emersion and better accessibility, but having an option to at least toggle handheld or Pro Controller mode would have been really nice. Thankfully, the excellent HD rumble in the joycon makes it much more worthwhile than it would be if it were a controller without the HD rumble. Besides that, it's really hard not to love this game for the amount of great times it brings, which is why I recommend this game to anyone who are fans of the Mario Party series, and/or anyone with a Switch, because even someone like me who has never touched a game in the series up until now can say with confidence that this game, despite it's flaws, is loaded with great times all around.

One of the biggest shocks of 2018

Got this game for my 5yr old as a birthday gift. Love that it had so many games for him. Some games are more difficult for him but plenty that he can play. We spend so much time playing together!

Awesome game to play with family and friends. Nostalgic enough that it still that the original Mario Party charm but new enough that games and “story” feel fresh and updated for the switch.

Great game and price

Super Mario Party for the Nintendo Switch is a fun game to play, either with friends or by yourself; although I feel like it is much more fun to play with 2 or more players. It has the nostalgia or playing a classic board game, but with a digital twist to it. The goal is to try to be the first person to finish the game with the most stars. The challenge of it is very fun, and I really love the minigames included between each round. However the only cons I would say are that it's very time consuming (but if you are playing at a party with a small group of people then the entertainment will definitely last you for a while) and if you want to play the game with only one, two, or three players, it still makes it a four player game and you have to compete with CPU characters that are controlled digitally by the game, so you have to sit and wait for those “players” to also take their turns. Overall I would still recommend it, because it is very engaging and competitive and I enjoy that in a video game.

Fun and entertaining, but time consuming

I played this when I was 17 and now at 30, I didn't find it that challenging alone. I lost interest the first hour... but add in some alcohol or other influences and your buddies, its a game changer. = )

Good game for small gatherings

This one is probably my least favorite Mario party game. The games are really simple and seem more at home on something like a DS versus a full blown living room console.

Only 4 maps makes the replay-ability fairly low. It seems more tailored to young kids than an entire family.

Watered down party game

When my grandson opened the box he found a googlie eye in place of where the  Mario Party Nintendo game was supposed to be. Only a horrible person would do something like this.

Horrible thing to do to a child.

The idea of it is awesome till you find out you need joy cons to play the game with more then two players. So got to buy joy con controllers to get 3rd / 4th players. I bought extra controllers thinking can play but nope got to buy more stuff. Definitely not impressed with Nintendo on that one
