I've been using this product for decades. for my hair and in my opinion, it's the best over the counter hair color. it adds dimension, and the color stays 4-6 weeks, usually needing touch ups due to growth rather than fade. the colors are always true and look very natural. the instructions provide clear ease of use, they provide descend gloves. i am 55 with white roots and naturally ash blonde spectrum hair.

I have been using this product for years and have tried many others and this is the one I always keep coming back to because it has such good coverage and such a beautiful color.

Great coverage

Love L'Oreal products.  Color is beautiful,  easy  mixing and apply. Color is true to what's on box. Covers roots, color holds up great until next application no fade. Easy on scalp. Hair always stay vibrant until next application. Love the Dark Ash Blonde shade.

Always recommend L'Oreal products...

Wanted to tone down  my hair color as i was using medium blonde and it faded. My current brand did not have a dark ash blonde color so I selected L'Oréal for its rating and color section.  Very pleased with application and results.  Will purchase and use again.

Product change good

The Color Came Out Reasonably Decent. The Color Did Not Take In Areas Starting To Go Grey. Given The Color Doesn't Take Where Gray Is Starting I Won't Buy It Again.

I had light brown hair. I used Med Ash Blonde. Now I have reddish brown hair! Go figure.
Loreal I don't know what you have done to your hair dyes. How I could of gotten that color "I do not know,"
The only way you are going to get any kind of blonde out of this color-
is perhaps you have white hair or blonde already? But even then I would be afraid to use on existing blonde hair.

Turned my hair red/brown!

I tried  6A Light Ash Brown mainly to cover my gray roots. Unfortunately, the gray coverage was quite weak, which was really disappointing because the box promises good results.

The color itself is actually very nice and looks natural, with a pleasant ash tone. One thing I really liked is the texture of the dye mixed with the developer — it’s quite liquid, which makes it very easy to apply and distribute evenly through the hair.

After coloring, my hair felt pretty dry and stiff. On the positive side, the included conditioner is excellent — it noticeably softened my hair and made it look better.

I would have liked this dye much more if it covered gray hair as well as advertised. Sadly, that was the main reason I bought it.

Nice Color, but Disappointing Gray Coverage

if you are a redhead and have been a long time user of 6R from L'Oreal, be aware that this is NOT the same color that you've been using for years. 

The box says it's just a new package and that it's the same color, but it is a much darker, pinker color than the previous formulation. 

also be aware that it says that it's a no drip formula which is absolutely not true. it is the drippiest formula I've used to date. also it does not come with the comb applicator anymore, just the pointed tip applicator. The bottle that you mix in is no longer a tube of cream, but a bottle of "gel" that is more liquid than gel, which is why the final product is so runny compared to the previous formulation. 

I can only hope that this color will fade and/or wash out soon as it looks very fake and I'm very unhappy with it.

new packaging and different color!!! buyer beware

I wouldn’t really know as I can’t get anyone I know  to install the new lightbulbs because apparently when you have a 2012 Chevy Malibu the entire wheel well has to be removed In Order to the change out the lightbulbs. Perhaps when it warms up outside I can get one of my friends to do it without having to trade a piece of my soul. We will see

I do recommend L'Oreal Paris hair color, it's just that this turned my hair more orange than auburn. I'm a natural redhead to start with and have used this for several years. I don't know if they changed the formula or what.  They changed the numbers so possibly.
