Good for the price. The sound is ok. The tuner could be better. It will play from a Micro card which is the best function. The light is nice to have during a power failure.

Great little radio for the price. It is not a 300 dollar short wave receiver, but for less than $20 its pretty good. AM and FM are loud and clear. D batteries are excellent choice for long power outages. Wish it would play and charge at the same time, but it is what it is. Great gift idea!

Great radio for the price!

There is a lot of value for the money with this little radio.  Not only is it respectfully sensitive and selective, receiving most of the significant stations I routinely seek out, the built in lamp is handy for all our spontaneous power outages.  Further, it comes with a non-removable battery which is rechargeable by plugging the radio into standard A/C socket for about 6 hours. For its size, the audio is crisp and clean, best for talking shows.  There is no tone adjustment, which would be extra nice during the times I have a USB drive plugged in to listen to tunes I recorded from my computer.

Surprise Performer

Poorly constructed.  Antenna, speaker grill, light lens broke off when the radio fell two feet onto the grass.  Has a very long battery life, and the light is a nice feature.  Picks up some radio stations well, even without antenna.  Has a bad problem of picking up interference if it is anywhere near your phone, and it will not work at the same time if plugged into the wall to charge.

Decent but not durable

The size surprised me; much smaller than was expected (8 1/4 x 5 3/4 overall length and height).
The sound is pretty good. You do not need to turn it up much to hear comfortably. I use it for mostly talk radio and a bit of music. Very light, easily to carry.
The battery life is really impressive, however you CANNOT listen to it while it's plugged in.  Upon opening the box, it was a plus. The flashlight worked, as well as the radio. But when I plugged it in to start charging, it quit. Unplugged, it worked. Plugged in...NO. That's why the 4 stars.
I have used the usb drive for some music and that works great. So do the short wave bands. Great range of choices.
Easy to change stations or functions.
Power cord comes free to store inside and charges pretty quickly.
Really pleased for the price,  except for the not working while plugged in thing.

I really like this little radio!

Yes, our electricity just went out for about 8 hours, and I had just purchased this radio about a month before.  The documentation stated that the radio would hold a charge for about 2 hours on the radio setting, so I tried that out and it was indeed the case.  This is very convenient, as the only other radio I have had before this for emergency use at home was a crank radio.  The casing seems a bit cheap, but it is the plastic that many things come in these days, so for the price, I think this is a great buy.  The flashlight isn't extremely bright, but bright enough for home use in the dark.  Also, it is very convenient to have a phone charger built in to the unit.  Otherwise, we would have to use our car to charge our phone.  Excellent radio for home emergency and casual use.

Great radio for home emergency use

purchased for my barn to have weather and music while taking care of horses at night. Volume never worked - could only hear if you stood right in front of it.  Then stopped working all together about a month after receiving. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND EFFORT.  Pass on it!!!

Pass on it - you can easily do better

It is a good value.  A serviceable radio with  good range, ample sound for a single speaker.  Has USB port for MP3 and a SD port.  On board rechargeable battery that lasts for hours.  Also uses D cell batteries or can be plugged in.  Comes with DC cord.  
Extra bright LED flashlight.  I use it in the kitchen, on picnics or when we're working outside.

A good value.

I have to say for its small size this little radio puts out a nice volume  and it tunes in really well. I live out in the country and sometimes it's hard to get stations in, but this one is really on the mark.
