The stand is not as big as I expected and is only under the very center of the board so I was worried about it being wobbly and easy to knock over.  That being said, I ordered this for a person who is in a wheelchair.  Set it up and played a few games and she was able to get up to the board without bumping the stand and we didn't have any issues with it tipping.  It's really nice that it folds flat for storage.  Still seems expensive for the amount of metal involved, even with the carrying bag, which is a nice thing, too.

Overall, a good buy
