Durability

So glad I was able to find this on Walmart.com... I usually have to go to REI or Bass Pro to get this.
This is the best Emergency Blanket on the market by far!

I think everyone that drives a vehicle should all ways carry this emergency blanket you ever know what could happen during the winter month.

Emergency Blanket

SOL products are excellent. This Survival Blanket is the 2 person size, just right for hanging under my camping hammock as an underquilt. It actually reflects the body heat back to me. Works well.

SOL Adventure Medical Survival Blanket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product a while ago and wanted to see its durability. The product is great for 2 people and is durable and lightweight. It does keep you warm and its easy to pack for camping trips. It has a waterproof outside which makes it great when you are in the middle of the rain or on the wet ground. This would be great in emergency situations, as well. It will keep you and one other person warm until the need be. Definitely recommend this product for camping or to have on hand during an emergency. Would be smart to keep in a car in case of an emergency of a blizzard or something, as well.

Lightweight but durable

Adventure Ready Brands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone should own a SOL Survival blanket. It's lightweight, waterproof, and has the ability to retain body heat while camping or an any other situation. It's large enough to wrap your whole body in. I keep mine in my car just in case I get stranded somewhere.

Perfect for emergencies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blanket arrived in a compact little pouch, but opens up to an ample 58" x 98", (roughly 5' x 8'). The compact pouch, (plastic storage bag) is fine when the blanket is new but, in reality, needs to be a little larger for practical use for storage once opened. This blanket is large enough to comfortably wrap around one person or act as a blanket for two. The blanket does all the things one expects from a survival blanket such as being waterproof and wind proof and doubling as a rescue aid by having one side coated highly visible "international orange" while the other side is bright silver acting both as a heat reflective surface and also being suitable for use as a "signaling mirror". The blanket is made from a "Mylar" type material which is extremely lightweight (3.2oz). The material appears durable but will stretch and deform if pulled. However, unlike some of the more traditional "survival blankets" this one is very quiet and It does not have that loud "crinkle" usually associated with them when in use. In conclusion, this blanket will serve very well for its intended purpose as an emergency blanket for you car, boat or outdoor pack.

very flexible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blanket is really big and can provide coverage for up to two people. The material of the blanket is very strong and the material will stretch before it tears. The blanket contains heat very well. Definitely handy to keep just in case of emergencies. Great to keep in an emergency kit or in your glove compartment.

Durable and great for those emergency situations

Wrapped up in one while cooking on the grill. Around 50 degrees. Didn't make a lot of noise, was flexible and reflected body heat. Only 4 stars because it really wasn't that cold out. Seems to work as advertised. Put one in each vehicle and plan on making an underquilt for my hammock.

Seems to work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how small and compact this is to store. This makes keeping an emergency kit in my car so much easier. I live in an area where it gets very cold, and this will certainly come in handy should I ever find myself on a situation to need it!

Amazing

I bought this blanket for supplemental heat during the colds nights camping on a cross-country motorcycle road trip. I tried using it in a variety of ways: wrapped directly around my body, wrapped around the outside of my sleeping bag, even wrapped around the outside of my hammock. Positioning made very little difference, as the blanket didn't reflect much of my body heat at all. The blanket is very large and the material is tougher and more flexible than other similar products, but its performance is pretty poor. I bought a Coghlan's blanket mid-trip for a third the price and though the material tore very easily, it was MUCH warmer than the SOL blanket.

Not very effective.

Survive Outdoors Longer® Survival Blanket emergency blanket in high-visibility orange made from vacuum-metalized polyethylene that reflects 90% of radiated body heat, sized for two with printed survival instructions; waterproof and windproof, often used as a ground cloth.
