The DVD player is awesome! The problem is with the delivery method! It was shipped promptly, but delivered to wrong house in neighborhood. This is the second time its happened recently. It makes me afraid to use Walmart.com. I hate to say this because the Walmart website is amazing and easy to order. I see nowhere to correct this issue when ordering. My house and on street mailbox are both clearly marked. The package was addressed correctly, the delivery person is not paying attention.
It bothers me when I get notice the packaged is delivered, when its actually on someone else's porch. Not everybody is honest, or at home. It could sit out and become damaged in bad weather.

So far this has been a good DVD player! We got it to replace a cheaper one that had to be sent back. This one was definitely worth spending a little extra. I liked that all of the functions were available on the DVD player itself, rather than requiring the remote to control volume or navigate through the menu. We have played about 5 DVDs with no trouble at all. The sound and picture quality are both good.

Good DVD Player

I purchased this DVD player for my 83 year old mom, she does not like cable. She was very happy, now she is able to watch her movies anywere she goes in the house. It was easy to set up and easy for her to operate. The size of the screan makes it easy for her to watch without her glasses. It is verry light and easy for her to handle and carry

Great DVD player for my Mom

I bought this for my ten year old daughter. She loves it. It is light-weight and easy to carry around. The picture is very clear from all angles. The only negative from her perspective is; she says she needs to use quite a bit of pressure to push the buttons on the remote. Otherwise, great product.

Great value!

I have to say I wasn't expecting so much for the price, but needed it quick because my husband was going on a camping trip where cabins did not include a TV. I wanted to find one large enough to sit on a nightstand or dresser, and not have to be held on his lap. I decided on this particular unit because of the 13.3" screen, which was the largest screen I could find with a brand name. It is so incredibly light weight I couldn't believe it. The swivel screen is great, and the picture quality is amazing. It even has a cute little remote and headphones. This purchase FAR exceeded my expectations, especially because my fella is such a tech snob and he loves it. We are both very pleased with my purchase. I would highly recommend this product!!!!!

This is an Excellent Portable DVD player!

I'm a trucker & use my DVD player every day.This DVD player is a wonderful product.Lightweight(it might weight a pound),excellent picture quality(I have a 15 inch laptop & the DVD screen is almost as big as my laptop),easy to use,good volume on the speakers-super volume on headphones.It only has a 90 day warrenty--STONGLY RECOMEND the 2 year ex.warrenty@$10.00.I will be buying more of these for Christmas gifts.I am VERY PLEASED with my purchase.

GREAT BUY

I had to return the first one because it simply desided to stop working. Walmart is good with returns so I could (luckily) return it. We now have our second one because my daughter insisted on it. We really like that one. The size is awesome. It does have a tendency to "pause" when you try to turn the volume up or down. Then we just use the remote because it has volume. That is one of the best features. Our other portable DVD player (RCA) does not have volume on the remote and that tends to not be as efficient.

the best features about this dvd player is the screen size & the fact it has a card reader built in. the only negative comment that i have is that if you have to shut it off, it does not have a memory. i then have to go through the dvd to get back to the spot where it left off. that is the only negative feature on what is a good product.

large screen portable dvd player

This player is a great DVD portable player for value and size. This is the best over 10 inch player that you're going to find. Plays DVD's and DVD-R's but has some trouble from time to time in playing a DVD-RW. One drawback is in video file playback -- of all the types of video formats I tried, only DivX files could be played. The spec's claim to play MPEG-4's but couldn't play any MP4's I tried. Battery lifetime when playing a DVD with headphones and default player settings yielded 3 hours and 21 minutes; playing a DivX file from a thumb drive resulted in a little over 4 hours of battery life. Recharge of the battery took little over 5 hours from a completely drained state. If you only want a portable DVD player with a large screen, then this player is a great value. If you're looking for a player that will play a variety of Video formats, you'll have to keep looking.

Great Portable DVD Player, But Comes Up Short...

The only thing that they should have done a bit better is the sound...but other than that it's FANTASTIC...WONDERFUL picture the 13 inch is a nice size and is easy to take with you and watch ANYWHERE. We're planning on buying another one so we both have one, for when we're enjoying doing our own crafting/hobby projects...and a smaller one for when we are traveling to see our family. WALMART you've done it for us again...delivery was VERY QUICK...ordering was quick and easy...WALMAPRT...you make shopping fun again THANKS...WE LOVE WALMART!!!

this dvd gives you a beautiful picture but the part where you place the dvd in when you close the lid it does not connect with the dvd inside. just keeps opening.  I am returning this one hope the next one works ok. I always thought sylvannia products were good.
