bought 2 of these after research. Timer was an important feature, both were defective out of the box and won't count down to 0. Will probably return, even though we really like the design and wide/large basket capacity.

Timer is flawed - don't by if this is important.

Only drawback is that the timer is a bit chintzy and it is hard to see the "fill" lines. Works great. I use peanut oil and the food did not burn, and was delicious.

This is my second one !! Love anything that is T-Fal !!

Deep fryer!

This fryer works great. Nice Size - Holds more than we thought it would, but it is tough to clean out. Wish I would have researched more and purchased one of their fryers that the oil drains out the bottom vs. picking up the fryer itself and tipping out the oil. I have celiac and my T-Fal fryer allows me to have fabulous french fries and home made corn chips again!
