Yeee.. I can make appam on my glasstop stove as well.. Really happy

Pan smelled when it started heating up. Washed again and tried again and smelled again when it was heating up.

Not too happy about this purchase!  This is being sold for less than 3 dollars in India in equivalent Indian currency.  I thought this will be a better quality as it is an imported item and is also being sold for more than 7 times its actual price in India.  The material is very thin and the heat does not spread evenly.  The batter poured inside the 3 center pits burn too quickly.  Not only that, the bottom portion of the appam (paniyaram) gets cooked fast while the top portion still remains as liquid.  So it is difficult to turn them as the liquid on the top of each appam gets splattered all over the pan while turning and the shape gets completely ruined.  Also the pan as well as the pits are too small, not at all consistent with the description!
I am very disappointed with this purchase.  It is just a waste of my money.  That is all!
Learnt a lesson that such things should not be bought online by looking at the pictures.  We should only purchase them directly from a store after examining personally the quality of the material.  Many times we get a very good bargain in stores as well when they have a sale!
