It says carbonated beverages aren't recommended, but it works great with them anyway. Just leave the sipping lid unsnapped for a while at first until the carbonation settles back down, then you can seal it back up and have cold carbonated soda 24 hours later. I regularly fill mine with Coca Cola with ice, only drink about half, then snap the lid and pull the straw out and come back the next day to a still cold and mostly carbonated drink (it loses a little, but not enough to even make it unpleasant).

This black cup is my 3rd one. 1st 1the handle detached and couldn't be fixed. The 2nd a fell off the table and the lid broke. It really does keep the cold sitting cold. I can put ice in it and it lasts for 2 days. I have only used it for water so o can't speak on the hot stuff.

Amazing cup

I love these cups very lightweight and sturdy. I brought these to decorate for Mardi Gras to make sure that I had a cup to put my drink in that would stay cold the entire day and I'd stay hydrated. My water stayed cold the entire day. I still love Stanley cups but when on a budget this will do.

I got the black one and I love the color! It does the job of keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. Accidentally left it at work one day after putting ice in it around 11am and it still had the ice in it when I returned the next morning at 6am. Worth the buy in my opinion!

the slick spill proof feature is nice if you don't care about keep your water cold! not even outdoor heat tested, yet because it fail to keep my ice water cold for 24 hrs. i would give it 12 hrs in the AC! otherwise get ready for tea!

As a thermos where you're drinking from the lid it is great! Keeps hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold. 
I needed it for the straw function. The lid you have to flip to use the straw has a strong spring one after a couple days it collapsed the straw which broke when I attempted to straighten it.

Fill with ice and water before bed and wake up to lukewarm water. Terrible performance even for the price point. Wanted to love this cup. I like the lid design but there is no insulation performance at all. Returning to WalMart and spending a little extra for a quality brand.

Nice style, Horrible quality.

The couple stays cold ice for about 10 to 12 hours when it says stays cold for 50 I've gotten two of them not realizing it and I won't get them again they look nice. I love the way they look how they fit in cupholders but they don't stay cold like it says it does my old thermostat stay cold three times longer.

Not 50 hours

As others have stated, the handle is definitely the weakest part of this cup. Got the cup, got it home and unwrapped everything, and noticed the handle is wiggly and could easily snap off w/ a slight breeze. I'm talking like the whole handle lifts off the cup, with a small piece holding it to the actual body. I would probably rather have spent my money on another brands cup than this.

I read the label claiming it keeps drinks cold for 50 hours, but that was not true at all. In my experience, it only lasted around 4–5 hours, even after adding plenty of ice and some water. I bought it hoping to have cold water during hot weather, but it didn't perform as advertised. The claims on the label and product description are misleading. RETURNED!!
