This is the 2nd air conditioner I bought, this one was for my friend and neighbor who was having trouble with the heat. I can tell you that she is very happy with her purchase. She told me she slept very well thanks to the work of the air conditioner! And we recommend it.

Great air conditioner!

i bought this 2 weeks ago thinking it was going to do the job. it blows out warm air and doesnt cool down my tiny livingroom. maybe i got a defective one? but regardless its returned and got a different brand.

not worth it

I got this unit a little over a month ago. I couldn't get it to cool properly at first, so I did troubleshooting, including caulking baseboards and sealing gaps and cracks everywhere (to stop the negative pressure created by the A/C unit from pulling in too much ambient air via a drafty apartment), before figuring out that the dehumidifier and cooling functions, well... DIDN'T function. It still didn't noticeably reduce the temperature or humidity in my apartment (and I own two reliable, digital thermometer/hygrometers for measuring those numbers). Only the fan part worked. I returned it. A neighbour has since gifted me a used portable A/C unit, which does work, and proves that my apartment is sufficiently sealed... and further confirms the TCL unit's defectiveness. I'm thoroughly disappointed in TCL, and will not be purchasing this brand again any time soon.

A large piece of defective junk.

I bought this model from Walmart. An extension cord (the C extension cord mentioned on page 37 of the user manual) is missing to be able to vertically adapt the sliding window kit to up to 48 inches. The sliding window kit covers only 38 inches. However, on the TCL website, the user manual mentions that you can attach to a 48.5-inch window. After discussion with the customer service of TCL, in the USA, it is impossible to order this missing piece they tell me to check with the hardware stores...????. In addition, on the website, the user manual also indicates that there is an "ECO" mode that allows the fan to be switched off automatically when the desired temperature is reached, which allows a moment of rest for the ears. On the device I received, there is no such function. Too bad I returned this device to Walmart.

Disappointed with the purchase

I bought this unit a year ago. Didn't use it much last year but, thought that it didn't seem too cool very much. This was really confirmed this year during this past little heat wave. 450 square feet oh, I don't think so it won't even cool my bedroom when it is set at 18 degrees. The fan only has one speed as well. Disappointed, and can't return and I'm sure they won't replace it.
