My old AC's insides decided to fly apart this morning (literally had pieces up the exhaust hose).  Calling for 40C tomorrow.  Had hubby pick this up today!  We are in a 750 square foot home.  The only spot to put an AC is in our kitchen, and our bedrooms are completely at other end of the house.  After one hour, my bedroom has already dropped 2 degrees, which exceeds expectations.  Our old unit was also 12,000 BTUs, and it couldn't accomplish that.  Very happy with the cooling ability, and it is SOOOOOO quiet compared to our old unit.  I like how the vent swings as well to get the air moving around faster.  Great that the air flow is pointed up since heat rises.  There is also a middle drain, so you can put a bucket under it that will hold a lot more than a pan, which is the only way we had to empty our old one.  This will be great on humid days (which seem to be every day now).  I won't have to empty it every 20 minutes like the old one.

Quiet, cool, and can use a bucket to catch water!
