this is our 9th TCL Roku tv, so we love the brand. i researched buying TCL over Roku direct and apparently the operating systems are better on the TCL tvs. 
this one was purchased because the tv in the master bedroom just stopped working. it gets a lot of use and one night the screen just stayed black. it can happen! i think it was 3 years old but these things arent made to last forever. hence purchasing this new one.  
this time i went with the S4 model and the picture quality is really amazing. we just purchased a 55 in version for the living room and honestly i didnt think 4K or UHD or any of that stuff really makes a difference but it does!!! the picture is crisp and clearer. 
so great tv, dont hesitate to buy. easiest set up ever. 
the only not great thing about these tvs are that the sound from the tv is not loud. we bought a sound bar for the one in the living room. i wouldmt necessarily buy a sound bar for the mstaer bedroom but its my only issue with these tvs. 

everyone should own a TCL ROKU tv and as always the price was great from walmart !!!

There is nothing to dislike. this size TV is perfect for a bedroom. it has Roku Tv which I like a lot, and one can download any other app desire. Easy to use remote control, and you  can use your cell as an additional remote control as well with the Roku app.
Price is fair.

Good for the money and size.

My family and I are obsessed with the TCL Roku Televisions! They are all plug and play and you cannot beat the simplicity of the remote. We are all over the moon happy with the Televisions and the Roku built in. In total between my family and my self, we own 8 TCL Roku Televisions. Picture quality is great and you can't beat the price! Roku has all major streaming platforms and a wide wide variety of extras to pick from. Home Screen is awesome, straight-ford tile options. Any age, from young child to elderly adult, will appreciate the simplicity of this television!

Must buy especially if you like simplicity!

I use this as a computer monitor, since it is 4K the resolution is as good as any monitor, and much more monitor real estate.
This is my 2nd TCL, I replaced a Toshiba 4K... the resolution is about the same as the Toshiba but since I have 2 of these it makes it easier for power on/off and I can set this up to turn on as a PC automatically...

The TCL brand is really making some noise in the world of 4K HDTV's.  I ordered this 43 inch TCL 4K HDTV from Walmart.com, and I love it!  The picture quality is excellent, but the sound quality is first rate as well.  This set comes with four HDMI inputs.

I bought this for my husband to replace an older, smaller TCL Roku TV that was added to the basement of our fifth wheel for watching outside. This one is great!!  Especially for the price, the picture is vivid and sharp definition. The sound is so much better than the previous one. Bonus that it is Roku - it is hard to find a great TV that isn't a Fire or Google TV. We are very pleased - more importantly, my husband is very happy with it - should be great for watching sports outside while camping!

Excellent TV for the price.

The picture quality is pretty decent — not like the super expensive brands, but honestly good enough. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that it won't connect to Bluetooth devices that aren't Roku; it just doesn't recognize anything else. Other than that, I'd still recommend the TV overall.

Good for the price

i've had this tv now for 2 months. the picture quality and size is as good as i need at 8' distance.
i was surprised at how little it weighed. wireless connection i quite good at 12' with no notable delay between remote, tv, and network. the roku network is new to me, with numerous setup, input, setting, additional viewing networks, and channel search and remove options. i was skeptical whether i needed or wanted a dedicated network viewing experience, but have come to appreciate it. sometimes my locals disappear, but a quick off/on resets them.
quite happy with the purchase.

it's great for the price. just beware that your going to be bombarded with ads if you're connected, and you pretty much have to be connected. you can't simply select an input, you have to hit the home button then scroll down through a sea of ads and apps you'll never use to find your sources.

Roku OS is adware. TV itself is fine

The video is very dull no matter how the settings are changed. I assumed because it advertised higher resolution that the picture would be good. Apparently it has a poor kind of backlight.  My inexpensive 50" has a much more contrast and sharpness than this. It also has an auto dimming feature which apparently can't be turned off.
