Quite quiet.  Advise purchasing this 8000 BTU unit, even though room specs suggest a 5000 BTU.  If the unit gets too cool for a smaller room, you can adjust to a higher room  temperature, but you can't adjust 5000 BTU unit if it's at its maximum coolness setting but still inadequate.

Not Disappointed

Very satisfied, belle quality of all plastic components and pipe, I tried it to test the noise and it is still not so much louder than my window air conditioner 5,000 BTU. I love the 3 fan speeds and all the other settings and I feel the cold air at a minimum of 10 feet away from the fan at least! It had been at least two years since I had been taking information on the net about portable air conditioners before I decided to buy my first and often I read negative reviews about the quality or cooling of more expensive bcp air conditioners. I hope for the next buyers that it sera put back on sale soon with the summer that will come well one day!

FAST COOLING

I bought this air conditioner a few months ago and at first, I thought that the reason why the unit was not cooling down the room was because the room was too big. I waited until I moved and then installed it in my baby boy's small bedroom. No change. And instead of cooling the room, it actually heats it up by a few degrees. I am thinking of contacting the company to see what can be done (reimbursement or new unit). I do not recommend this air conditioner.

Not satisfied at all

This unit is a waste of money. The unit gets cold 10 mins. Then it kicks to warm for a while. I do not like this unit
