ellow jackets are an ever-present nuisance around many homes in the summer months. With the TERRO Yellow Jacket Trap, you can attract and trap yellow jackets that pester you outdoors. The bait works by luring yellow jackets into the trap. They go in expecting a treat, and find they are unable to leave. For your convenience, the TERRO Yellow Jacket Trap is incredibly easy to use. Simply empty the included bait pack into the trap, add warm water to the fill line, and swirl to mix. Hang the trap on a tree branch, stake, or other suitable hanger. Traps should be hung in the late evening or early morning when yellow jackets are not active. Place in calm, sunny areas about 25 feet from activity areas for the best results. TERRO Yellow Jacket bait contains no chemical insecticides so you can use the trap with peace of mind. If needed, this trap can also be used with a supplemental bait as yellow jacket species and diets may vary. Recommended supplemental baits include lemonade, grenadine, fruit-flavored soda, fruit, fruit juices, beer, or sugar water. When the trap is full, it can be emptied and re-baited for continuous trapping.

I  have used this for years......I simply add orange juice...a couple of inches and wait till it "ferments".  Hundreds of flies and mosquitos get trapped in here.  The only bad thing I can say is that I don't like empying it...but.....it DOES work.  I add dawn and water to it before I empty it as it always has more live flies in it.  I shake it up well and let it sit for awhile and then take it to the farthest part of the yard and empty it.  Refill it and it's ready to go again.

Have used this type of Insect trap before and find it works better than anything else on the market.

I have several of these after the plastic container gets brittle I just use a glass mason jar. If their is anything alive in it when I go to empty it I just get hot dish soap water in a bucket and drop it in it.

The two items have to be used together to be effective. If unbroken, the item would be fine. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that I would receive a replacement at no cost. It appears to have been broken before the time that it was shipped. The piece that was broken off was not in the packing. Poor quality control at the point of packing and shipping. I have not received an unbroken replacement yet. I will insist upon a refund if I do not receive a good replacement.

One item arrived broken. It could not be used.

It does not work

Was no where near the same quality as one that I previously purchased a few years ago. Made cheaper & doesn't have the metal hook on top as pictured.  The metal hook has been replaced by a cheap plastic eye.
