The Cyclops Thor x is one amazing spotlight. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for some power in the woods, a field, around the home or what ever you may doing. This thing really does pack a punch and it does not make you feel poor after buying it because the price is decent.

First, this light is almost as big as a duffle bag, but does come with its own shoulder strap! Second, it is bright enough to see the orbiting space station! I have never ever had or seen a brighter light! If you want a bright light? This is it!

Colossus Alright!

I am very surprised at how tight the beam is and how long the battery lasts. Glad I purchased this light. I do wish the on/off switch was more ergonomic and located in a better place.

Beam is very bright and circular. (My previous Cyclops had a + shaped beam.) Unit is relatively large, but I knew that. I use it to check for critters before I let my dogs out, and it easily lights the far corners of the yard (300').

I think it's fair to say, I spoil my husband just a little bit. He was out shopping last night at Tractor supply, to get some lights for his farm tractor, and found a spotlight that he liked and was about to buy it when I intervened. You see, John said a while back that he really wanted a nice bug spotlight to use when he's giving grain to the cows because by the time he gets off work, it's pitch black at the farm and it's hard to feed with four wheeler lights (we use the tractor to feed hay, and the four wheeler to feed grain). Well, unbeknownst to him, I had already gotten him a HUGE spotlight and it was under the tree... So... Well... You see how this turned out. My hubby, got to open one of his Christmas presents early. LOL! I'm excited to hear from him tonight to see if it helped out. We tried it out last night after he opened it, and it was incredible how bright the light was and how far we could see with it. So far, we know we can see atleast 2 acres away, and possibly farther. It's great!! So, I highly recommend this spotlight. It came from Walmart Online. Cyclops Colossus getting the job done! It's brighter than the daylight. Go get ya one. NOW!!

Brighter than daylight

My wife has a couple of horses and a donkey that she treats like they were you favorite little lap dog. Living in North Texas (Dallas area), we start getting dark around 5pm during the winter and she never had enough light (via lanterns or flashlights) to properly deal with the horses at night. This product is amazing...... we live on nearly 20 acres and now with this light, we can see nearly all the land when this product is on HI. We love it and would highly recommend it to other.

"Killer" Spot Light

I knew going in that this would be oversized and was not disappointed. Too big for my wife to use however so will be getting a smaller one for her. Brightness -wise, its a bit brighter than my 2M candlepower Stanley handheld, but not much. Its a keeper tho as I was expecting the size after reading the other reviews. Good conversation piece too lol. Bought it for spotting critters in the woods out back.

Does the job

What a flashlight!!!!!! Lights up my whole back yard completely. Have shown this to several friends already and to the Super of the school I work at to use in case of power outage.

Battery dies after only short use.  Surprised at how fast it dies.  I bought it new and use in the yard briefly each night (5-8 minutes).  In three outings roughly 20 minutes of usage the battery is dead.

This light died after a year of service and it is not the battery or the bulb. I am not sure what happen because I never received any help from the manufacture's customer service. They said it was my fault because I did not charge the battery every three months as specified by the owners manual. I told them I replaced the battery with a new 12v battery. I received no reply and they would not offer a suggestion to what I should do with the light. This is poor customer service. This is what you can expect if you purchase this light or any product for that matter from GSM Outdoors. Don't believe me, just read all the other reviews that had similar issues like mine. You will see a pattern of poor customer service and bad products.
