This is a pretty straight forward. A sturdy shelled laptop case that allows your laptop to be used when opened with the clam shell. The Macbook Pro 16" fits well. my 16" extended monitor fits in it separately too. It is a sleek case that gives piece of mind for traveling, bike commuting and protecting laptop. It doesn't have any additional bells and whistles (like extra pockets for mice or chargers which was a big reason why I wanted it.

I waited before writing the review just to get to know the product better. Honestly, it's perfect. The zippers are easy to use, it's all cushioned inside so you know that if you drop your pc it will stay in good shape. Plus, since I take the bus everyday, I love the fact that you can just leave the pc in the sleeve while using it. It's an added protection that changes lives.

Perfect if you use your pc on the go

I was looking for a case that would be big enough to fit my 15.6 inch PC laptop. At first I tried the 15 inch sleeve, however that was ever-so-slightly too small. This sleeve fits this laptop size perfectly. The dimensions of my laptop are (14.1, 9.8, 0.7) (W X D X H). There is little extra room, so if the laptop would exceed those dimensions I would advise looking at something different. 

It is very sturdy and feels very well built, just like other THULE products.

Great Case for 15.6 inch Laptop

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro 16" and I want to keep it in pristine condition.This Thule Gauntlet is an excellent quality protective sleeve for your laptop. There are a lot of cheaper options out there but none of them come close to the quality of the Thule sleeve.

great product, life proof !!

I bought this case a few years ago for my new Macbook 16" Pro. I'm a graphic designer and often take my laptop on the go. I set my closed/cased laptop on the banister for a moment to grab something and my cat pushed it off, causing it to tumble down the entire flight of stairs. Because of this case, it was perfectly in tact! You do have to be careful of the straps getting caught in the laptop when closing as it can cause damage. Hopefully they revise this design in the future, but in terms of protection, can't get much better quality!

I expected a bit more protection for the weight of the product. Next design should include a strap or something to hold in hands without fear of dropping the case.

Thule Gauntlet for travel

Seems like a well built case. 
It is a very protective case, while the laptop is stored inside. I don't know if I would recommend actually using it in the clamshell, as I believe it restricts airflow to the side vents.

I do have one complaint about the case; I wish there was A LOT more cushioning on the sides, in and around the zipper. That's really the only thing lacking that I can find in this particular item, and outside of that, it was great value for money.

Nice case, wish it had more side protection

This appears to be well made, fits as advertised, and will prevent scratches, and in the event of a drop (with the case zipped up), it will offer a decent amount of protection.  It is NOT however anywhere remotely close to crush proof.  I was looking for something that would prevent a tight backpack from marking the screen with the keyboard over time, with out huge bulk.  This is not the solution. Otherwise it seems to be one of the best options out there.

Good for what it is

My husband bought me this case. I like the idea of it however the straps on the side are irritating. You have to consciously ensure the straps are out of the case when you close it. Sounds easy and a no brainer - but my laptop closed on a strap and cracked my screen of my Macbook which is $$$ to repair. Buyers just be aware....
