Very good overall. Spacious for dinner plates with room to spare. Reheat function does well, cycles at 50% and it adds a short cool-down time if your patient enuf to wait. Hah  ;)
Also internal LED light is nice. Changing the bulb on older units was PITA.
Cons: Keypad is a little stiff (touchpad) but not a serious drawback. Also, need to get used to the handle release which is a "lift-up" button inside the handle (or squeeze). I,E., this is unlike others with a pushbutton on the front.

A Good Buy

Nice looking microwave, good size and high wattage. First time using an inverter microwave and so far so good. It's significantly quieter, heats evenly and quickly and most notably does not have that cycling sound change that regular microwaves have. It has a button on the handle to push when opening that's easy to push and open. Surprisingly easier than the non button one I had that required two hands to open.

There are a lot of features I'll likely never use since I don't actually cook in it, but instead warm/reheat/frozen meal type stuff, but glad to have the options available. The buttons are easy to use and where they should be, but I found the button activation not in the middle of the button, but slightly to the left. It doesn't impact the use, but over time, the wear will be left of center.

I run the microwave on a dedicated circuit, which I think helps the overall function/power and I believe is recommended for microwaves over 1200 watts. So if you find it not performing at it's full potential, that may be something to consider.

I've been using it for about a month at the time of this review. If it holds up and continues to perform, I would repurchase this brand and model again. I did get the coverage, just in case, since the inverter technology is new to me and don't really know about the longevity of it.

Big, quiet and lots of features

I had an older version of the Toshiba microwave %26 this one is a little different.  It's 1200 watts vs 1000 which does make a difference in the way it heats.  Buttons are in different places %26 the biggest change is the child lock which takes a bit of getting used to

Should have researched the brand.  
Walmart was Great and refunded my money.

This seller had this TOSHIBA at my door within  36 HRS  great service.
reheats my coffee hot in 60 seconds.
Runs quiet.

Large interior, Runs quiet, Lots of power

We received this micro oven today. We already used it several times to heat and reheat food and coffee. We love it so far!! A possible negative for us is: I was wary of the child lock on this oven. This one you can't disable. Being seniors and arthritic, we thought it might take too much strength for us to open the door. But, so far, not really an issue. Push up toggle on handle while pulling.  We'll see how it goes.
It's an inverter and more wattage than our 13 year old Hamilton Beach that broke.  This higher wattage, Toshiba inverter, heats faster and reheats food noticably more uniformly.  
I think we found a good deal on this Toshiba with the features we needed and the price range I wanted to stay in. A very important feature that I absolutely have to have is I can silence the beeper.
Bright interior light and easy to read control panel.
I'm surprised  how quiet it is when it's running. I hardly hear it.
We like the black cabinet with stainless steel door.

I bought the  Toshiba 1.6 cu. ft. Microwave Oven with Inverter Technology, an EXCELLENT MICROWAVE OVEN  . Very quiet , so quiet I had to looked to make sure it was working . This is the best micro wave I have owned . I owned Six different microwaves .
Only  $180  an amazing  value .
Does an excellent job : Cooks fast  . I have heated liquids , reheated full and partial dinner plates . Baked potatoes,  frozen dinners and entrees . Entire food is heated equally .
 Inside light very bright , making cleaning of oven very easy . Display panel and numbers require a little extra push pressure , but become softer with use .
I highly recommend this microwave .

Toshiba 1.6 cu. ft. microwave the best  only $180

Modern design that is easy to use and with it's inverter technology heats extremely fast and evenly. 
This is one of the quietest microwaves I have ever seen!

I'm not impressed with this microwave.  It was the highest rated in it's price range, but it's really a disappointment.  This unit replaced an old Kenmore microwave that lasted for almost 44 years (manufactured April 1982!)  This Toshiba is a pale shadow in comparison.  It is cheaply built, with dents in the outside housing (like it was maybe dropped), and there is small hole in the inside compartment, where some light shines through from the middle compartment.  Functionally, it is far less powerful, and it does not cook food evenly.  The touted "inversion technology" does not live up to the hype.  If I heat a cup of soup, the mug will be hot to the touch, the liquid on the surface will burn my tongue, but the middle is lukewarm, and at the bottom it's cold.  Cooking anything larger is the same.  The edges will be overdone, but the center is only moderately warm/cooked.  Sensor heating works the best, and I use that function the most, whether defrosting food or just heating items.  The control panel is a bit of a nightmare.  The buttons are hard to push and not very responsive    I have to push a button several times before it responds.  The microwave also has a tricky opening mechanism, reportedly a legal requirement, that requires pushing up a button inside the handle while simultaneously lifting and pulling up the handle.  Maybe I am spoiled because my old microwave was so sturdy, well-built, and functional, but I would not buy this Toshoiba microwave again.

Not Impressed

First of all it is not as powerful as claimed.  My last microwave was only a 1200W while this one was marked 1250. The 1200W was at least 25% faster.  The advertised black stainless is only black paint.  While I understand the two stage handle would be safer for children it is only a hindrance to me.  Very disappointed but I had such faith in the product I threw the packaging away before evaluating the item. As can be see by on site pictures on this sight the numbers are hard to read.

Does not match description

This microwave is pretty and heats well but is a major safety hazard. We've had a few times, over a short period of owning it, that the microwave will continue to run even if we open the door/click stop. We have to physically unplug it to get it to stop
