[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DEWALT 25' LED rechargeable lighted tape measure (DWHT35625) has a powerful built-in LED light to illuminate the blade and measuring area in low-light conditions. It has a 17' Max Reach, based on max tape extension of an average end-user. The tape measure has a reinforced housing to withstand a 100' drop onto packed soil. The LED has an auto-shutoff feature, which occurs after 60 seconds of continuous illumination. This auto-shutoff feature allows you to continue working without having to stop and turn off the LED after each use.
The LED tape measure includes a sturdy metal belt-clip and has an overall size of approximately 3.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall by 2.25 inches thick. The approximate total weight is 1 pound, 5 ounces.  The tape measure includes a 6” Rip-Shield coating, which maximizes blade life by helping to reduce breakage at the hook.
Battery and Charger cable: The tool has an internal rechargeable battery and comes with a 5.25” USB type A to USB micro charger cable. The battery is rated for 3 hours of continuous runtime, when fully charged.
Warranty: The tool is covered by a limited lifetime and (1) year electronics warranty.
Uses and Feedback: The tape measure is comfortable to handle, and I had no problems with tape rewinding or binding after use. The tape lock switch is quite firm and reliably holds the tape without any slippage. The tape measure stays put on either a standard pants belt or when clipped onto a tool pouch. The tape hook is sturdy and securely fastened with 3 metal rivets. I especially appreciated the large double-sided print on the tape with measurements by the 1/16th. The double-sided tape allows for easier measurement actions when working overhead on framing, plumbing, HVAC, or general construction projects. The tape has red highlights every 16 inches for marking studs as well as the black diamond markers found on most common tape measures.
I recommend this tool for both personal DIY and professional usage.

Solid tape measure with a great LED light feature!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this tape measure. It's heavy but I like that. I will never forget its on my belt and I can hear it if I drop it, so i will never lose it. It also has the length of the tool on the side so I never have to guess. The light is great for my failing eyes. The standout is great also.  Large numbers and the light means I'm not fumbling for my reading glasses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this tape measure on a job that i was doing for a friend's parents and had a couple guys helping me we were remodeling a room upstairs and adding a room in the basement that was dark and had minimal lighting this tape measure worked great in the low lighting area worked didn't need a flashlight or my cell phone light to get quick measurements for materials before setting up some temporary lighting. I also like the how far the standout was over 12 ft and being able to take measurements with either side of tape measure is not something you use all the time but is a nice feature when you do need it.  The LED feature has also come in handy stopping on the way home to give an estimate on a deck right before the sunset and taking a few of the measurements in the dark had no problem reading the measurement. Overall great tape measure and working with the guys I've had to keep it on me because my guys like it also because of the features and I'm always having to get it back from one of them. Great product for anyone doing work in low lighting area's or finishing a few more cuts when it gets dark.

Great tape measure to have on the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape measure is ready to tackle some serious work . I like that it has black rubber parts that help with grip . I never thought having a light on a tape measure would be handy but it is . I could see the measurement in a low lit basement with. I problem . The numbers are also very easy to read and that's a huge one for me . Nobody likes a tape with horrible printed numbers or that are too small . I love that the light is rechargeable and I don't have to worry about batteries . The light button is perfectly placed for easy on and off with one finger from the underside . If you're on the fence about this tape measure just go for it .

Dewalt lights the way !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, for my aging 49 yr old eyes, with astygmatism and nearsightedness, I love the large font size of the numbers. Even if you have great vision, the larger numbers make it easier to read your measurements faster. Which means more productivity and potentially faster job completion times. The girth of this tape measure body looked daunting at first but after using it for awhile it fit my long palmed hands very well. The rubberized coating is a comfortable feature I appreciate. I was skeptical on the lumen output of the built in LED. But it lights up the tape measure numbers in dark areas very well. It is actually strong enough to light up my 20x20ft garage. And i like the fact that is rechargeable via usb, so i can charge it on the job site, at home, or in my vehicles. I would recommend this tape measure to others. No negatives to report on it at this time.

Sturdy Easy To Read Illuminated Tape Measure

A great tape measure with a built in light.  The lack of USB Type C for charging is a drawback though, as I need to keep the old micro cables around to charge the battery.

The tape is well built with better on and off button placement than the Milwaukee Led tape and the light leaves no shadows on the blade of the tape I'm disappointed though by the belt clip and the light lumens however its very ergonomic tape. Check out my review on go-toolzreviews on YouTube

Well designed and built tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right off the bat, I noticed the easy to read numbers on both sides of the tape, the 12.5 foot standout, and how bright the led light is.  I was a little disappointed with the charging port, included charging cable, and the charging time.  The charging port is a micro-usb port, which is very outdated now.  The included charger is only 5.25 inches long, making it difficult to charge in some locations.  The average run time is just under 3 hours, which is as advertised, but the average charge time is much longer than I expected.  Using various charging methods, it took an average of just under 1.5 hours to obtain a full charge.

Great Tape Measure with Unique Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The standoff on this tape measure is phenomenal. I managed to get to 15' but wasn't really trying. This is way better than my previous tape. The LED  light is very unique. I haven't found a use as of yet where I'll need the light but it's nice knowing it's there. The double sided print is great. It definitely comes in handy. The hook can be used in either up or down which I love. My only issue is the rivets for the hook. I think they are slightly raised for the magnet attachment which was not included on this product. I have on a couple of occasions had my thumb too close when retracting and injured myself. I'm used to having my thumb in that position when I've used my old tapes. It's a lesson I'll learn really quickly. Otherwise a great tape measure. Well built and “tough”.

I haven't had it for six months, I haven't made it fall to the ground. The blade is split and will soon break in half, the brake no longer blocks. One of the three hook rivets is gone. The good thing is that the LED works, but it is not important for a tape measure.
