This is the perfect hairspray! Has the hold without the stickiness. It's a great way to freshen up your hair when you need just a little bit of lift. Great smelling too!

I've used this product since I was very young for dance comps and such and now I use it for ponytails. I recently grew out my bangs and it works pretty well to holding it back but it does get a little crunchy but may be a user error🤷🏽‍♀️

I love the spray, but it seems that the spray fails on every other can I use, wasting at least half a can each time.  I wash with hot water , use a pin all to no avail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What happened!  I started to use this hairspray late 2025, it was wonderful, but the last bottle I purchased is not the same, doesn't hold well amd my hair looks very dry.  I noticed it says New Formula on the label. What a disappointment!!!!

Changed the formula, not what is was!

This is the second can of Tresemme extra firm control hairspray that I have purchased.  I only use it to keep my bangs in place, and this new can blows my hair so hard that it messes up my hair!  I try to spray it just a little, but if I push just a little too hard, it blows my hair all over the place.  No hairspray should do this!

Sprays way too hard!

I am using the extra hood 4 firm control hair spray for 3.5 years and now they went and change the product. Not only the change the look of the hairspray they added more ingredients which made the spray worse. Before it used to hold strongly for more than 24 hours for me but the new one can't even hold for 2-3 hours my hair start messing up. I liked the old hairspray ‘Tres two spray extra hold 4 firm control' they didn't needed to change the ingredients for it but they did and now I need to find a new strong hold spray

The new look extra hold 4 product is not strong

I have used your pump hairspray, Tres Two Spray - 4 Extra Firm Control for years & always loved it. This year I did not realize the formal was changed. My hair went from beautiful to frizzy & dried out. I love the original formula without the humidity control.

Formula Change

The "New Look" product, less alcohol version is not an improvement! I have used this brand for 15+ years and will now be looking for another brand to use. It is now sticky, looks slimy on the hair and takes forever to dry. Very disappointed, and this comes along with continued price increases.

I have been using Tres Two extra hold with humidity control for many, many years. I wouldn't buy anything else! The new ProLock formula locks nothing! I might as well go without and save my money. It's that bad! Why change something that was already perfect? Do you not have testers? It really should have failed! Shame on you!! Onto another brand!!

We bought this product for my cousins wedding. My wife did her hair and it looked amazing. It held up all night. I tried to help my wife brush out the tangles when we got home. From 11:20pm to 1:15am I brushed which made it better than worse, scrubbed tried to remove the product, used shampoo, and even dawn dish soap. Nothing was getting it out and all brushing did was make it worse. The product made her hair crunchy which is why we were trying to get it out. We are now at a salon as they attempt to get this out of her hair without having to cut any off... 0/10 would not recommend this product. Will be reaching out to customer support Monday. Our hair stylist even said this isn't how it should be.

Had to see professional help to get it out.
