Tamarack Return Air Pathways (RAPs for short) are unique transfer vents designed to maintain adequate air flow between rooms and eliminate pressure imbalances. Our RAPs are a simple and inexpensive way to improve indoor air quality relieve rooms of hot and cold spots and reduce strain on AC systems. Most importantly installing RAPs improves energy efficiency and provides homeowners with significant savings on both cooling and heating. The Return Air Pathway Register equalizes pressure in the home while dampening sound and light transmission. The kit is designed for easy installation in new and existing walls. Pros: Fairly simple to install, improved HVAC airflow when doors are closed, doors are notably easier to open when HVAC is running as there is little or no back pressure anymore

Con: Expensive, it is two standard metal return grills, two sheet metal ducts that fit together and some card board sound dampening material.. There is some light bleed and increased sound bleed between rooms.
