If you need brushes for foundation or contouring I don't really recommend this set because the bristles are quite soft. However I don't contour and I use the beauty blender whenever I use foundation (not often!) so I think this set does the trick for your basic beauty needs. I especially like the shadow blending brush!

Love these beautiful brushes!! I'm buying 2 more sets because any woman I know would love to receive these pretty holiday brushes. I do wish you had another 5 brush set focusing on the eyes.

Would highly recommend these brushes for us girls of all ages. Great gift idea for a first brush set for preteens and teenagers.

These brushes are amazing I used the big one for powder very soft effortless to set the makeup. There has been no shedding while use them. I really enjoy these brushes and recommended these to others.

Fantastic Brushes Love Tarte products..

They're so beautiful! And they're the perfect set of brushes. I use the "highlighting brush" as just a more fluffy blending brush and to contour my nose.

This is a great brush set! All of the brushes are really soft and feel so good when I'm blending my makeup. Great for gifting or for buying for yourself! :)

These brushes are SO cute and functional. Fluffy brushes are great for powders while the denser more compact eyeshadow brushes are great for applying shadow!

Very soft so I don't think it's dense enough for foundation. Good for areas that require a lighter touch e.g. highlighting eyeshadow base. White bristles help me figure out when they need to be washed and how clean they are after the initial cleanse.

Good brushes

I needed new brushes and really liked the way these look. A few of them though are too soft. They don't hold product well and seem to be more like a broom pushing product off rather than applying. The largest brush seems to be the one I like least. The smaller brushes though seem to be alright. I think the value is good if you are looking for very simple application these would be good.

Some would be good to have in your professional kit but overall not the best for everyday applications.

I was so excited when I saw these brushes because they are so stinkin cute. However this is the first Tarte purchase that I wasn't overly impressed with. Someone recently reviewed explaining that they weren't sturdy. She's absolutely right. They definitely are not professional quality makeup brushes but I mean for the price it's a cute set. Just don't have high expectations on quality.
