We started watching Max Miller on YouTube about 2 years ago. He is very entertaining, honest, and informative. His cookbook is a brilliant extention of that.

A worthwhile purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oddly enough I use the recipes in this as “starter” recipes that are then combined with modern methods/ingredients.  These are excellent dishes to eliminate processed foods, added sugars/carbs, and generally all the negatives that our modern foods contain.  There's a reason why our ancestors were arguably healthier.

I was expecting some history and more recipes ( especially ones I would use more often). It feels like for every 5 pages of pictures and history, you get 1 potentially useful recipe. Some of these recipes seem like novelty, perhaps educational. It's a good book, but not what I expected.
