Great salt testing kit for your pool. I originally tried using salt test strips but I wanted exact results. Bought this kit and it is very simple to use. I didnt trust the reading on my salt water system. It currently reads 3000 but using this kit is was really 2200. This is a must for salt water pool owners. Walmart had the best price online and fast delivery. Recommend!

Easy and useful

I've used Taylor test kits for years for everything but salt, depending upon my Salt Water Generator (SWG) to tell me the salt concentration. But I grew concerned that the SWG may need to be calibrated and so bought this kit.\n\nI like the fact that there is a positive chemical indicator reaction (changes from white-ish to salmon-red color) abruptly when you've added enough reagent. Just multiply the number of drops it took to do that by 200 and you've got your parts per million.\n\nEverything you need is included with the kit and I expect I'll need to replace the reagents LONG before I run out of them due to them just aging out. But - for residential purposes - I expect 2-3 years before I do that.\n\nOverall just as pleased with this kit as I have been with the other Taylor test products I've used. Top Notch!

Reliable reagent based test kit

Do not reply on pool stores, they will sell you unnecessary crap to dump garbage and money into your pool. Get a good testing kit and go to the Trouble Free Pool web site. Pool chemistry is very straightforward, you can do this on your own!
This titrating kit is the most reliable way to test your slat levels. Strips are good as long as yours are reasonably fresh and you didn't get a bad batch.

Forget the pool store, master your own chemistry!

Kit included two reagents. One was correct and one was incorrect. Makes the test useless.
