I just received the PL880 in the mail today. So far I am impressed. I am sitting here in my basement bedroom listening to 1060 out Virginia crystal clear and I am in Northeast Ohio. The audio is superb. The sync functions very well. I really like the filter selection and they work well. I highly recommend the Tecsun PL880.

The radio lives up to it's reviews!  It is very well constructed and is a pleasure to use.  I am still getting used to all of it's options but am impressed with it thus far.  I used while camping in the wilds of Los Padres Natl. Forest and it did a nice job of pulling in stations.  Next purchase...an external antenna for better DX'ing!

Great Portable All Purpose Radio!

Great Product!

I was hesitant to purchase a shortwave radio from an unknown company.
I checked the worst of the reviews and didn't see anything repetitive, which might indicate a design flaw.

I took a chance, and have been very happy with this radio. Even in a noisy apartment complex, using the supplied longwire antenna and adjusting the bandwidth, I'm getting very good results. 

The unit is well built. I was expecting poorer grade materials and workmanship, but it wasn't the case. It has the feel of a solid "instrument", rather than the cheap quality of most household AM/FM radios.

I have to agree with those who say the documentation is lacking. 

I found the unit to be worth keeping and protecting for years to come. I designated a small padded hard shell case, once used for a telescope accessory kit, for the radio's new home.

Well worth the money.

Credit is due.

This is a well built radio but very confusing to use if your new to shortwave radios.

Solid radio.

All looked very acceptable until the radio needed to be charged with its rechargeble battery.  The battery did not recharge/charge the unit and therefore had to be returned.  Very disappointing.
