Buffer works great on wood floors. Shines waxed floors to a mirror like shine.

The product is working as designed.  It was purchased knowing it was not the best quality in power as other brands.  However, it fits my needs, helping me clean up after puppies storm the house with muddy feet.

Working as Designed

I bought this product to clean/wash the tiles all around my house. It works well and I'm pleased with the purchase. I noticed I only use the brush heads, not the other attachments. I have 2 older cats & sometimes they have accidents on the floor. This product helps keep the tiles clean and gets rid of the smell too. So far so good!

upon arrival of the EP170 it was assembled, very easy to do, and began working on
our hardwood floors.  My floors have not looked this good since they were laid.  Perhaps even better!  the EP170 is very easy to handle, fit under my cabinets in the kitchen and dining area.  First was to clean the floors.  This little "monster" CLEANED!
Then polished.  I now have a great shine and glow in every room.  I use the cleaning pads about once a week and polish about 2xs a month.  I can't thank Eubank for 
making a floor cleaner/polisher affordable and does what it says it can do.  I highly recommend the Ewbank 170 All-in-1 Floor Cleaner Scrubber and Polisher.

All in 1 floor cleaner

I have a  Pergo floor that has been cleaned a couple of times a month with a recommended floor cleaner for the past eight years. However, it seemed to have a coating of grime that was  almost like wax. I scrubbed on hands and knees bringing lots of pain after a couple of days. This Ewbank could do about 75% of the grime/waxlike removal for me and saved considerable work. My only complaint is that it didn't do all of the work as I still had some spots needing special attention/scrubbing. I wish the scrubber pads were a little coarser but I'm pleased with the product as it held up for the 300 square feet of work.

Does pretty well on laminate ...

I used the Ewbank  EP170  on the tile and hardwood floors in my home.  I used the brushes that come with the unit to scrub the tile with Murphy's Oil Soap.  After doing this I used my Shark steam cleaner to sanitized the tile floors.  This combination left the tile floors cleaner that just steam cleaning the floor.   For my hardwood floor, I applied some Minwax Floor Cleaner with a micro-fiber mop and after the cleaner dried, I put some hardwood polish on the floor and used the Ewbank to polish the floor.   It brought the hardwood back to a beautiful shine.   The Ewbank unit is intended for home use and is not a commercial grade unit.  I thought it definitely helped to both clean and restore my floors.  I would recommend this unit to others.

decent home hard floor scrubber/polisher

The objective was to clean a tile floor made up of 12 inch tiles. First, there was not a scrubbing brush nor could one be purchased. Second, the scrubbing pad was not very  good. Third, after 4 minutes a 12 inch tile, the cleaning was about 80 percent complete. I followed up with a hand brush. Fourth, the unit was under-powered. It would lug down and get hot. Fifth, I was unable to find replacement pads.

Now work for cleaning tile

POSITIVES...This floor cleaner is great if you use on small areas or apartment size floors. The pads are great products. The polisher of it shelf is nice in looks, ease to assemble and use, and adjustable for height and stretching.  It's ease to assemble and use.

NEGATIVES... The polisher could have been heavier to do a better job, It is very light in weight, and only works well on new, clean surface. The speed of the motor is too slow for large areas. Changing the pads are a bit cumbersome.

Small Jobs

This is the SAME UNIT as the BISSEL but a diff. color( looked it up).fold out handle is so flimsy that  it BENDS!!! brushes come flying off if your just trying 2 buff. if there is a area on the floor that isnt quite dry yet. bought it cause i had the floors (tile) done by a pro %26  i wanted 2 b able to just buff out the floor 2 keep the shine.
DO NOT BUY THIS 1 OR THE BISSELL!!! what a piece of crap.

It doesn't have any where to put solution so it can ease in to your floor while it cleans there is not enough pressure from the machine to actually scrub your floors nothing on this device works well for this machine for 100 dollars you are not getting anything worth spending that much not even 5 dollars I would put towards this machine very upset and I don't want to deal t with the Haarlem of returning it so I just bought an expensive piece of plastic, so disappointing  even the cheapest steamer for floors is better ualituyu than this machine don't waste your time or money
