The pump works as advertised. It's power level strong and noise level is still whisper quiet. I actually have it on the floor and it's going over 3 ft just to reach the top of my 20 gallon aquarium and going back down to the bubble stone inside. The stone is a different brand but the bubbles are plentiful thanks to this pump. Definitely recommend Tetra pumps!!

This product works great in my 10 gallon aquarium. It makes lots of bubbles and has a very affective airflow. I recommend this to anyone with an aquarium.

Good product!

I like this pump.  Have had a couple of these.  They are very efficient, but most of all they are quiet.  The price is very right.

Whisper Air Pump 20

Easy to install (BUY SOME TUBING) and works well after a week.  5-stars if it was silent but there's a tiny vibrating sensation but you get used to it.

Quiet but could be quieter

It works, and Tetra is a brand I have used before.. but don't kid yourself whisper it is not. There are quieter versions you can get from pet shops but they will cost you a pretty penny. For the money - I would grab these (and did) but to be clear they can be loud sometimes.

It a whisper but a solid pump.

Still trying to decide on this pump.  I like the ease of how it is to hook up.  It does not whisper though. You have to make sure it is sitting on a hard surface because it vibrates a lot. Hence, a bunch of noise. I feel like it need to be made heavier. I think that would help the noise level a bit.

Whisper 20 Aquarium Pump

Check valve was not included in the kit.  Everything else was there, except the check valve was removed from the package.  Running without a check valve could cause damage to the system.  Super disappointing needing to run all the way back and spend money on a check valve when it is supposed to come with the product.

I bought the 100 and I was impressed by how much air it moved and how quiet it was, it stayed this way for about 6 months then it started getting noisier and noisier but air flow was still good, after another 2 months started to lose air flow out of one side of the pump, figured it was just the stone so replaced the stone with no difference, another month and lost one of the outputs completely, kept running it figuring 1 is better than none, after another month lost both sides. I pulled it apart and the diaphragms looked like new still so I was confused, but after further inspection the check valves in the pump were not seating properly anymore, these are tiny pieces of silicone that I cant see fixing without replacement. So now its dead with only 4 tiny piece of silicone that have gone bad, seems like such a waste.
