NOTE:  Prior to writing this review, I was asked to rate the story, characters, and plot of the book...but, since this is a STICKER book (that I'm already rating at 5 stars), I just put 5 stars for each of those, too!  I'd seen this volume being sold online for awhile (along with other previous books, from the "Antiquarian" series), and finally decided to get it--not just because it was my favorite of these sticker books, but also due to the price being only HALF of the original (US) MSRP.  (For a deal like THAT, I couldn't go wrong!!)  Recently, I began junk-journaling, and thought this would be perfect for that (along with creating/decorating COOL greeting cards/envelopes, for my pen-pals).  These WEIRD, sometimes CREEPY (yet intriguing!) stickers, can also be used for adding fun/interesting touches to the pages of a regular journal, or to put onto a wrapped package.  I received this sticker book NEW, and in good condition, within a few (business) days after placing my order.  Haven't had time to use the stickers on any of my projects, but I read other reviews saying they don't stick as well as they should...if this is the case, I'll just put glue or tape on there, to keep them down (not a problem).  The reason I chose THIS book as my favorite volume of the series, is:  the bright colors of the pictures, their level of strangeness, and the many uses I can imagine for them.  (I like really ODD stuff!!)  This sticker book measures 6 1/4 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches tall, and is (almost) 1 1/2 inches thick.  Although (somewhat) small in size, it's also quite HEAVY, at slightly over 2 lbs!  If you enjoy collecting sticker books on a shelf--it has a beautiful, handsome purple cover and spine, with 'old-timey' stylized writing, and examples of the pictures within--plus, some pretty gold foiling/designs.  (It also has a pleasant, 'new' book smell.)  What's NEAT, is there's a sewn binding, so you can keep the book when the stickers are removed, to re-use as a junk-journal, etc.  I counted around 145 pages (with stickers on ONE side of each), and backing-papers (on the other side) with an attractive printed design, throughout the book (these papers can also be re-used, for junk-journaling).  Anyone who likes "Alice In Wonderland" will probably want to try getting this, because of all the artistic ways you can put these stickers to use, with the 'Alice' theme.  Also, if someone you know is a fan of old Victorian-Age drawings/cards, or collects things that are VERY different from 'average', this book would make a GREAT gift for them!  Artists who want to find something unique, won't be disappointed if they get this.  It even makes a nice (extremely peculiar) curiosity-piece, to keep on your coffee table--for guests to look through, and become perplexed by!
